#2 Backlight 2 Support » Global Watermark for Copyright Text - to be placed on full size images » 2020-02-01 11:06:30

Just an idea for a new feature:
I would like a feature whereby I could generate a watermark within Backlight 2 and then be able to tell the album template to add it to each image displayed at full size. That would get around the need to watermark each of my source images.

Does anything like that exist, or might it be a feature that will be added? Thanks.

This is a new installation of Backlight 2. I did not have anything else before. I will look into providing ftp access.

I have created an album set called City Scapes, and three albums called Paris, New York City, and Vancouver in Lightroom, each with a few images. Then I have published these to Backlight. I can see all of these listed in Backlight under Pages.

In Backlight the albums are working within themselves, but I can only get to one of them if I turn the flag called Index Page to Yes, and if I then come into the website from scratch, thereby getting to which ever one is the index page.

When I get to the album set page called City Scapes (by the same method as described above) I can see a thumbnail for each of the three albums Paris, New York City and Vancouver. But when I click on one of these I get the error message "Warning: require_once(./backlight/modules/module-framework/Framework.php): failed to open stream: ....."  -  the same error message as when I click on the menu item Galleries.

There is something I can not figure out about how to get these linkages to work. Help greatly appreciated.

#5 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Horizontal Navigation not working for me » 2020-01-21 09:09:26

Hi Rod
That was it. It is working fine now that I changed that parm from "always" to 1024.

Honestly, I wish Turning Gate would provide more details in the docu. Many things are criptic to me and I have to stumble through.

Thank you very much for your help again.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot get horizontal navigation (horizontal menu in masthead) to work. I get vertical navigation working OK.

I have created a personal Menu Set and made it the default. I use it in my personal page template. I use my personal page template when setting up my Home page. However, no menu line is shown in my Home page. I have spent many hours on this to no avail.

Any suggestions highly appreciated.

Thank you very much, Rod. I managed to publish one album of 9 images from LR. Now just carrying on in Backlight to make it show up somewhere. Ha Ha.

The Backlight docu says the plug-in is part of the Backlight download, but I can not find it.
