OK. I made a new shipping entry and it appears to be working...
Thanks, Rod!
Hi Rod,
Yep. I feel as though I got everything queued up correctly.
Don
Hi Ben,
Here's the link <https://workshops.quatrainfotographic.c … -photoshop>
Tap on the Register Here button, and it produces the dreaded, 'No products are available for purchase' ... Please try again later...
Thanks for any insights,
Don
Hi All,
GoDaddy upgraded my site firewall with SSH protection.
Perhaps a coincidence, but my cart doesn't function with BL2 installed on a sub-domain <workshops.quatrainfotographic.com>, but the cart works just fine with BL2 in the domain <www.quatrainfotographic.com>.
Running most current version of BL2.
Checked and re-checked all settings.
Clear cache and browser.
Reinstalled cart.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Don
Hi Ben & Matt,
Thanks so much for your insights via eMail.
After reading your messages I looked much more deeply into the firewall settings [there's several things to visit in there]. Disabling the cache didn't seem to work, but then it's possible that I just didn't wait long enough for that to take effect either.
Then I found a Performance / Developer Mode tab that allows adding my IP address so that it bypasses all caching. Even with the cache fully enabled, this appears to have worked. Uploading files, and the album template create / delete situation is resolved too.
Backlight working as expected.
Don
Hi Ben,
GoDaddy analyst added specific IP addresses to Backlight .htacces file.
Seems to have resolved upload issues.
A very weird thing I just discovered however. When I clone an album in the backlight admin Templates panel, the new album is not visible in the list until I login to my GoDaddy account, and clear the firewall cache. Then the new album appears in the list.
Also, when I clone an album [name it TEST], and then delete it, it doesn't disappear from the album list. Clearing the Template Cache in Backlight doesn't make it disappear either. It's not until I clear the firewall cache in my GoDaddy security management panel that the TEST album disappears from the album list.
Any thoughts?
Don
Resolved
Hi Rod,
Yep. I'll have to contact Matt.
Unfortunately, that didn't work, but thanks very much for the quick reply and problem solving.
Don
Hi All,
I just downloaded the Backlight 2 Theater Add-On, and it looks like I produced the same problem as *mhayes*. I used a new eMail address in the purchase process and I believe that's why it's not showing up in my Modules Panel.
The transaction was successful based on the auto-reply eMail, and I downloaded the TXT support file.
If someone could take a look at that I'd appreciate it.
Don
I started with CE4 three years ago, and very pleased to have this Backlight2 iteration running.
https://quatrainfotographic.com
Managed to stay current with Lightroom updates all the while [now Classic CC] and all Backlight updates. Worth every minute of time to produce a site that can be customized and function to meet prospective and current client needs.
Thanks so much to the crew, Matt, Ben, Rod, & Daniel, for such outstanding technical support!
With Highest Regards,
Don
Hi Matt,
This works, thanks. I've used this include function in a footer with great satisfaction.
It appears that an include file can only be used within a designated, function _HOOK_() {...}
I was hoping to re-use a small table residing inside a grid column, from one page to the next with syntax nested after of the aforementioned HOOK. For instance...
<div class="col_3"><?php include("pho105_announce.php"); ?>
</div>
Even if this "announce.php file" resides inside the phplugins folder, it still doesn't work. I speculate that the Backlight eco-system is not conducive to seeing this the same, as it works with bootstrap.
I'm no expert at this stuff [and I apologize for my ignorance], yet I find it's interesting to touch some of the walls once inside Backlight. Keep up the great product development!
Thanks again for your insights.
Don
Sorry to say that I'm not finding any success with this.
Although this method works fine outside of Backlight, without additional coding elsewhere...
<?php include("winter_dates.php"); ?>
...this doesn't work in Backlight.
...inside of Backlight, even with the addition of the code to the TTG Head Hook noted previously, it doesn't produce data from the target file.
I'm wondering if PHP settings on the server need to be tweaked?
Don
Thanks, Daniel... I'll give that a try.
Thanks Rod,
I haven't added the include code in the tag_head hook.
I didn't imagine it needing to work that way, but then it's times like this when I feel as though I'm in way over my head in this.
Thanks all for the replies on this...
@Daniel
I am indeed trying to use *includes* via the phplugins folder [not via Backlight admin]. I created a designated php file with content, and uploaded that doc inside of the phplugins folder, then pointed the suggested code in the document I want it to appear in.
Tried this:
include("winter_dates.php");
and this iteration:
<?php include("winter_dates.php"); ?>
I tried the more elaborate *//v2* line of code as well, with no luck.
I got nothing to appear.
Sorry for my confusion and misunderstanding.
Don
OK, thanks very much for the clarification, Rod.
I was thinking that a separate site might be needed to split the task with the cart functionality.
Hi Rod,
I used the suggested CSS to hide the delivery country, delivery state, and delivery method to build a cart for a local hands-on workshop, since those obviously don't apply to the situation. https://quatrainfotographic.com/winter-workshops
p.delivery-country, p.delivery-state, p.delivery-method {
display:none;
}
I added it to the the class of the "Register Here" Button
<button class="add-to-cart delivery-country delivery-state delivery-method" data-item="Winter Workshop" data-name="Adobe® Lightroom® Unmasked — Detroit
Thu 21 Feb ›› Sat 23 Feb 2019" data-price="LRWinterWorkshop" data-thumbnail="_images/jpg/backlight/DJW_20170704_MaskedKid_IRBW.jpg">REGISTER HERE <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></button>
However, if I go to a cart supported gallery and queue up a product for purchase, then the all those delivery options are still absent from the purchase. In a case such as this, I need the shipping options to appear.
https://quatrainfotographic.com/quires/ … ed-prints/
I guess I'm looking for some specific code to enable the cart to display "with" and "without" shipping options. I've cleared the cart, cleared history in my browser, and still produce the problem.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Hi Rod & Daniel,
Sorry for the late reply. Been pre-occupied with other projects.
Unfortunately none of those solutions work on my end, but then, I might very well be placing your suggested code solutions in the wrong place, or the wrong way. I'm clearly missing something to understand how to integrate it.
Thanks very much for giving this your time & effort.
I'm moving on to some other aspects of the site build.
Don
A Non-Backlight part of my website has pages where I use what's known as "PHP Include" which is a line of code pointing to content that can be integrated across more than one page, such as a table with dates, and such.
Instead of having to modify several documents with the same table content, from page to page — which can be very time consuming, let alone leaving a huge potential to create errors, omissions, and conflicting information — it's great to modify a single "PHP Include" document that updates all pages that point to it.
The line of code I use looks something like this:
<?php include("pho105_announce.php"); ?>
I'm just curious to ask if Backlight supports anything similar that I can use in more than one of my backlight/custom/phplugins documents to use the same tabled content? I tried integrating that line of code noted above, but no luck in generating anything in a web browser, even by using various iterations of "../../" in the doc name.
Thanks for giving this any thought...
Don
Hi Rod,
I can get to the Login page, and can enter username & password.
After entering credentials, clicking on "Login", then it produces the error message. I reset my password this morning and that didn't appear to remedy the situation.
Don
When attempting to Login to Backlight 2
https://www.quatrainfotographic.com/backlight
Getting an error message in the browser window saying "Can't Open the Page"
•Tried Safari and Chrome after clearing history and cookies, et al.
Message elaborates:
Too many redirects occurred trying to open "https://www.quatrainfotographic.com/bac … admin/2fa/". This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.
Everything has been working fine since update last week. This is peculiar. Never seen this error before.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
Don
Fantastic... as usual.
Thanks for sending the link to Daniel's post, Rod!
I've read through all support install information several times and feel sure to have updated and loaded files correctly.
No Custom PHP files are loading into the site.
Need some help. Perhaps a re-install is a better option?

thanks,
Don
Thanks Matt! Just wanted to make sure before moving forward.
Don
Is it possible to password protect a standard PHP page, located inside to the Backlight/Custom/PHPlugins folder?
I'd like to set up a photo workshop. Once the course is up and running I'd only like the paying participants to have access to the content of that page. Perhaps asking for too much, but it'd be great to have other "private pages" the participants to click through, like supplies, schedule, assignments, field session info, etc.
Can Backlight support this kind of page [site] management?
Thanks!
Don
