#1 Re: Backlight Support » Migrating CE-4 to Backlight on different servers » 2016-06-18 02:46:26

Hey Rainer, the build in migrate tool only works if the installations of CE-4 and Backlight are on the same server and on the same lever. My installations are on different hosts on different websites

To Whom it may concern,

I have a running CE-4 instance on http://bodynsouldesigns.com at one host and want to migrate to a backlight instance on antoher host on http://images.bodynsoulphotography.com

My Backlight installation has no albums as yet and was just installed. Should I do this manually? as the directions clearly state that the migrate tool only works if both installations are at the same server.

If I have to do it manually, what is the right procedure?

Also, on the search page of my backlight installation (http://images.bodynsoulphotography.com/ … ht/search/) there is some default text Tray 01, with some lorem ipsum. Where do I remove or replace that text?

Best regards,
Patrick Krolis

Thanks Rod, indeed there are instructions in the changelog, thank you for pointing that out.

However in the changelog for the CE4 Cart there is an confusing instruction, it refers to 3 folders to be replaced and lists only 2.

QUOTE
Upgrade Instructions for v3.0.2

1. Replace the following three directories within the ttg-be/cart directory on your server:

  • application

  • lib

2. Login to ttg-be/cart/admin, to complete the database upgrade
UNQUOTE

Could you please indicate whether there are 2 folders to be replaced or the is a third folder which is not named?

thanks again in advance

So I am one happy customer, with my TTG website almost ready, then I received an email saying the product was updated. So I go on download the updates and then go looking for instructions as how to update TTG. that is where i realise that I either missed something or did not read properly. There must be a forum topic on that, but I admit that i cannot find it, please help.

"The default admin username and password is admin and ttg8888." is what the documentation mentioned

I am follwing installation instructions, and upon installation of TTG BE, I try to login with the information supplied in the online manual, but it keeps returning me to the page. when i try a random password it does tell me username or password are wrong, but when i enter the correct password, it simply returns to the login screen
