Hey Rod,
That is probably what went down!
Thanks Again!
Arrrgh! Thanks SO MUCH Rod.. you (as always) are a life saver... it was just the "s" that was causing the whole issue.. Not sure how it "became" an issue all of a sudden.. but problem solved! Thank You!
Okay... somehow something has gone awry in my setting the API URL shows:
http://clients.hursey.com/backlight/publisher/
however there is no "publisher" subdirectory inside my backlight folder...
I have not touched any of this since I last posted a gallery.. Have I completely missed a step on the update?
Okay.. so I went to go do that and at the same time opened up my settings page on the publisher and did not change anything though I saved it.... now no templates show up .. not even the new one I created.. then I went back to the settings page and clicked "Check authentication" and got:
Unable to perform action: checkAuth
Message: The page sent an action that was not available.
Will Do...
Okay... latest publisher installed... I Still get the same error... when I click "Ok" and then select the Set Templat I built I get a similar error window that says:
Unable to perform action:
getSetupForTemplate
Message: The page sent an action that was not available
Hey Rod, Can you tell me where I can download the most current version of the plugin.. just to be sure.. Currently I am running 4.0.0.0
I do indeed have album set templates in place... I have not changed anything but simply did the updates and now get this message...
I am unable to create galleries (Client Response) after the most recent update. I get a window in Lightroom when I try to create a Set saying:
Unable to perform action:
listAutoindexTemplates
Message: The page sent an action that was not available
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
So... just to pass along the info so that all can be informed... THIS time, my hosting company had done a php upgrade that "broke" the download functionality... when I called in they upgraded to an even NEWER php version and it fixed the problem. (I am always glad when it is not something that I have done!)
Hey Daniel!!!
Thanks Much! I think that is is and I really appraise you pulling that up and pointing me back in the right direction... I have made notes to myself for the future (when this happens again)
I think it is the file size... I seem to recall this issue before, however was able to fix it somehow... I THINK you gave me new code for the php.ini file?
I just went to the admin panel and updated everything and still have the issue.
Could this be a php issue?
All of a sudden, my file download is not working. The full files are present on the server, but the download button downloads a zero byte file, or file is corrupt.
here is a link:
http://clients.hursey.com/shoots/father … -download/
though this is happening across multiple galleries...
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah.. sorry for the tail chasing... thanks for your help!
My bad... between the upgrade instructions then bouncing back to the regular instructions, I totally missed that line.. sorry for wasting your time!
Okay.. it was the .htaccess files that were the issue in ALL of my problems.. the problem is they do not show up as files in the mac OS so there is no way to know they are there.. the only way I could get them was to upload the entire install folder and drag them to where they needed to go...Thanks!

I am assuming I use the .htaccess file that was in the install folder and put it in the backlight folder as well? Do I also need to put it in the parent directory?
There is one in the backlight directory that I copied from the install directory. do I need to put that same file somewhere else?
Okay.. they are and I am getting "unable to find publisher" when I check authentication in Lightroom. I have copied and pasted on both the url and api key so they are indeed identical (while removing "/backlight/publisher/" from site url in Admin)
Done. and cleared cache and still template styling not applying....
I am chasing my tail on this as well... Is the api url in Lightroom and the "Site url" in the Admin > Backlight Settings supposed to be identical? http://website.com/backlight/, or just http://website.com, or http://website.com/backlight/publisher ? or is one supposed to be one thing and the other slightly different?
I did install those and realize now I was using the Pangolin templates - yikes am I able to backtrack / uninstall?
Hey Rod... so I am cobbling things together here and resolved the error message, but yes.. all of my styling from BL1 is not showing up.. I thought I had updated everything and have the templates assigned and cleared the cache but still am missing the styling...
I am sure I am missing something but all of my template designs from BL1 are not populating..
