#1 Re: Backlight Support » Something went wrong: enchant.so » 2016-06-11 15:56:40

Ben is right. I posted the error message in a support ticket to my provider. According to them the enchant.so module takes care of general spelling checker functionality from within the PHP-framework. It is a known bug from PLESK version 11 up to 12.5.
But it's unclear to me whether Backlight actually uses this spelling checker functionality?
For now, they completely disabled this module, but I don't know whether that has consequences for Backlight?
Thanks for your reply.

Hello,
I got the following error on my webpage when using BackLight. The problem was there in version 1.0 and is still there in version 1.02.
Could you please help?
Thanks in advance.

P.S. The error occurs during normal visits on the page and when I'm logged into BackLight Admin.

#3 Re: Backlight Support » Main Page of website broken after configuring BackLight » 2016-05-21 21:46:32

I just revised the whole website (deleted all content and recreated it allover again) after the hosting provider upgraded PHP to version 5.4.45. Just to make sure there was not a problem with PHP versions anymore. This support issue should therefore be closed and archived now, since the possible 'solution' is WAY off topic. wink

#4 Re: Backlight Support » Thumbnails for Album Sets » 2016-05-19 07:04:53

Hello Rod,
I followed the tutorial and published the 'hidden' album with the custom thumbnails. The only problem is: it's not hidden. However, there is a 'strike-through-eye-icon' visible in the album subject, but the album is still visible. What seems to be the problem?

Hello,
I would like to move / copy my existing Backlight configuration, menu sets and templates to a new site.
I do not want to copy the pictures itself.
How do I do that? Which items do I have to download to my PC and upload again to the new site?
Thanks in advance.

#6 Re: Backlight Support » The "open_basedir restriction in effect" error » 2016-05-19 06:50:54

That's just the problem: sometimes it's broken and sometimes it magically works. Which PHP-Version should my provider use?
It has PHP Version 5.6.21 configured, but maybe I can ask them to change it in a version which works with BackLight?

Hello Rod,
Thanks for your reply, but I already checked that. They are all pointing towards pages and not URL's.
Part of the time the menu is fully functional, other times it is not. Maybe it has something to do with internal caching of some sort?
I'm lost on this one.

The main page of pictures2keep.nl is broken with the error "....open_basedir restriction in effect...."
When I type in the url pictures2keep.nl/galleries in the addressable everything is ok, but still some other pages of my website are giving the same error.
Also, my navigation menu is displaying, but whatever item I choose, the page is always refreshing to the page of the first item in the menu.
Also, when I click an album (or an album set), I see by the progress indicator of Safari that's something is being loaded, but still the same page appears each and everytime. It seems that all of my navigation is broken.
What's the problem?

I have got the same error on my website www.pictures2keep.nl. This fix was NOT the solution for me. I visited my page from both Safari and Firefox on my Mac and from an iphone. On all of those devices this error appeared. It was working OK, but not anymore...
I'm running Backlight 1.01 with Pages included.

#10 Re: CE4 Publisher » Publisher Update Fails » 2015-01-22 05:30:37

Hello Ben,
Also here the exact same error on a fresh installation. The solution you provided didn't work for me.
Any updates?
