Backlight - The future?

I notice there has been no entries in the blog for several months, does this mean development of Backlight has stopped or just reached its natural conclusion.

Re: Backlight - The future?

Oh, it's far from stopped. Matt has mentioned here in the forum that the next iteration will be able to be independent of Lightroom.
Plus, I imagine, other goodies.
Never fear, Matt and Ben are on it!

that's good news, having to rely on Lightroom is one of the biggest drawback of Backlight at the moment as I don't actually use Lightroom for any other purpose.

Backlight 2 is well into development and near to being ready for internal testing.  Stay tuned.

Re: Backlight - The future?

Brilliant news.

I used TTG for my web folders for quite a while and then moved to another software suite as I hated being reliant on Lightroom. I am using Juicebox which is fast and easy to configure - but it is limited in the variations of folder look so I will be happy to revert to TTG.

As with the previous poster it was the only reason to work with Lightroom. I found it slow and cumbersome.

The thought of being able to move back to TTG and not have to work withing Lightroom is great news. I will be an early convert to Backlight 2.
