Have you checked your lenses focus lately?

If you ever notice your lenses are focusing a little 'soft', there is a seldom used adjustment you can make from within the camera menu.

Our 18-35 group photos at one of our weddings just wasn't looking that sharp. Fortunately, we don't use that lens for that purpose very often, so the damage was fairly limited.

To check and correct lenses, I usually take 3 shots at +10, 0 & -10. Zoom in and see which is sharper. From there you can repeat with a tighter range closer to where the lens needs fine tuning.

The camera remembers the values for each lens you do this to. You can repeat this for other cameras.

This feature may not be available on all cameras.
