the above message in red box at bottom of page when attempting to remove breadcrumbs from galleries.

I switched it back to original setting (below) and the red error box at bottom went away.

I've found the problem. 'breadcrumbs' isn't set properly when both Show Breadcrumbs and Show Top-level Breadcrumb in Child Album/Album Sets are set to 'no' for Top-level Galleries. We'll have a fix in our next maintenance update.
