Like I said, you can change the wording or eliminate it all together. Personally, I find having a Home link in the breadcrumbs redundant, but I can see how some people would want it there.

I don't known what you think is stupid. If you're referring to the value of the itemprop attribute, then it's not stupid; it's correct. The itemprop attribute is not a CSS selector, and every breadcrumb is a title.

Home will always be the first breadcrumb, so if you want to target it specifically, then it's easy. Use the :first-child pseudo-class.
