Another choice from same gallery.

Hi all,
I've a question.

I've a gallery (manage by cgr) online.
I've assigned e-mail and password, and send them to my client.

It's a wedding...
My client have to choose 3 time from the same gallery.
One fro him, and another 2 from his parents.

Now, when my client make first choise, and send me an email, the gallery is locked.
So it's possible to view the choice, but not delete it and make another one.

To make this I've to create another User, by TTG BE, with same e-mail and another password !?!

Cheers,
Francesco

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

If you need more than one "client" to be able to leave feedback, then create as many clients as are needed and assign the album to each. ( each will of course need different email/password)

Also, take a look at "Post Submission Action" under CRG Settings in TTG-BE

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

Hi Rod,
no .. it's the same client. But I need to choose three time.
Because one time it's for his album, another time to bride parents album, and onther one for groom album.
So, same client but three different choices (each choise shuld be to contain same foto and not...).

Cheers,
Francesco

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

OK, I've seen "Post Submission Action" under CRG Settings in TTG-BE
So, I've just created the gallery, if I change the settings under "Post Submission Action" under CRG Settings in TTG-BE ... but it cannot updates. So the gallery remain closed.

How ca I do to make this without reupload the gallery ?

Thanks wink

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

Right. Just create two more clients: bride's parent and groom's parents. Assign the same album to each "client".
This will keep the feedback choices separate so you can know who is choosing which images.

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

Ok Rod,
but will be the bride and groom to choice the photos for their parents.
So the mail will be the same.

I cannot create, same email and different password, because the email=client.

So I can also make : Clear feedback in browser" after "Post Submission Actions" ?

Cheers,
Francesco

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

You can set the "Do Nothing" option. I'm not quite clear what the "Clear Feedback in Browser" does. It doesn't seem to clear feedback for me.

The "Do Nothing" option will keep the current feedback but also keep the album open so more feedback can be submitted. Each user will need to clear out all choices and feedback.
You can use the new "Select All" and "Select None" features outlined in the latest Change Log. Using "Select None" will clear all the check boxes.

<a href="#" class="select-all">Select All</a>
<a href="#" class="select-none">Select None</a>

Or you can create three separate clients. Since you know who the feedback is coming from anyway, if the client doesn't have other email address you can use, just use a couple of fake email address for the log-in credentials.

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

...Where I must Write :

<a href="#" class="select-all">Select All</a>
<a href="#" class="select-none">Select None</a>

Because, to me "Select All" and "Select none" doesn't work.
Select all don't select all and not "mark" all.
The same for "Select none..."

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

Place it in the page copy. I suggest adding it above the legend text.

Are you using the latest CRG? You need to be for this to work.

How are you adding the code?
(If you copy directly from the Changelog or you're typing it in a word processor first you might be getting formatted (curly or slanted) quote marks. They need to be straight quote marks from a plain text editor.

Can you provide a link to gallery where it's not working? Links always help in solving problems.

Re: Another choice from same gallery.

...Rod, I'm not a programmer wink

Please, can you explain me in simple words and step by step how can I do to put (and exactly where) the code ?

Without this code, select all/non doesn't work.
Why there is not a new version, with this issue fixed inside ? ;(((

What is "Changelog", where is located ?
mysite/ttg-be/crg/????

I've to open with text editor some file from ftp ?

Thank you wink

...Rod, I'm not a programmer

No programming needed. If you can type or copy/paste you can do this.

you know how you added text to your album? That's how you add the code. Just copy and paste it into the Page Content area either in the Create/Edit Album dialog or part of your template .
My suggestion is to place it before the legend in the template sidebar and include the template sidebar text in albums that need the "Select" links.

What is "Changelog", where is located ?

Changelogs are a list of changes for each version of a program. You can find them for each plug-in on the main Documentation page
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku.php

Without this code, select all/non doesn't work.
Why there is not a new version, with this issue fixed inside ? ;(((

Probably because there's nothing to fix; only one person has actually requested it. And not everybody needs it. Plus, it's easy to implement by just adding the code to the text block.

I've to open with text editor some file from ftp ?

No. Just put the text either in the page copy areas of the Lightroom plug-in or in the page copy areas of Publisher's Create/Edit dialog under the Page Content tab.
