Publisher problems in authentication

Hi all,
I've bought publisher now to improve the upload sessions of my galleries.
I'm trying to install... not easy for me ;(

So, I've installed the plug in into mi LR and on my ftp.
But, when I try to make authorization to configure inside my LR I've this mesage :

"The authentication check was successful, however publisher found the following problem:
Unable to find the directory galleries.
Please create this directory and set permissions to 755 or 777."

So, with cyberduck I've checked the permission ... it was ok !

Can someone help me ?!

I've the gallery directory inside : ttg-be/templates/gallery
Inside the gallery I've also put a CR4 template.

Inside tg-be/templates/ I've two diretories : gallery and autoindex

Thank you

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

...perhaps a part of problem are solved.

The plug are searching "galleries".
I've tg-be/templates/gallery

So into : "Top-level galleries directory" I've changed "galleries" in "gallery".
But nothing...

But now, I've another error :

TTG CE4 Publisher make a "Default Album".
So I drag&Drop the photo inside the new album, but if I try to change name or other I've this error message :
The template has not been selected.

And if I try to publish the album I've this error :
"Unable to perform action: createAlbum
Message: Unable to find the directory ./../../gallery.
Please create this directory and set permissions to 777."

Please help me !!

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

don't use the Publisher Default album. You can just delete it.

The top level galleries folder for Publisher is NOT the ttg-be/templates/gallery folder.
It should be a folder that you designate on the same server level as the ttg-be/ folder. For most those using Pages, this will be the /galleries/ folder.
If you're not using Pages then you will need to create a folder. You can name "galleries" or "portfolio" or "my-pictures" or whatever you want. Whatever you name it, put that name in the Top Level Galleries Folder field in Publisher.

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

Hi Rod,
I've created "galleries" directory, into : mysite/ttg-be/
I cannot know pages, so I've created the directory by hand.

But it's the same...

I've put "galleries" also into mysite/ttg-be/templates/

Some error : unable to found, etc..

If I go under ttg-be under settings/Top level Galleries
I've the message : No top-level galleries were found

I've to set here ?! How can I do this ?

??? ;(((

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

The "galleries" folder does not go inside the ttg-be folder.
It needs to be along side of the ttg-be folder:

mysite.com/galleries/
mysite.com/ttg-be/

these folders:
ttg-be/templates/gallery  and
ttg-be/templates/autoindex

are for the exported gallery and autoindex templates you need to create.

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

Hi Rod,
ok now I've understanding.
I've created mysite.com/galleries/

The authentication now is ok.

I've another problem now ... probably I've deleted some files...

When I try to creat an Album, I've this message :

"Unable to perform action: listTemplates
Message: No templates have been created"

I've checked this directory : ttg-be/templates

I've this two directories :
"gallery" with inside my templates from client response.
"autoindex"  this is empty.

Then i've three files out of the directories :
template_admin.php
template_blank.php
template_json.php

Where is the problem ?!?!

:-)

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

See the documentation: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _templates

in the ttg-be/templates/ folder there should be only two other items: the gallery/ folder and the autoindex/ folder. Delete whatever else you've place there.

After exporting from CE4 Gallery (let's say you name it "my-gallery-template"), upload the entire exported folder to the ttg-be/templates/gallery folder so that you have:

ttg-be/templates/gallery/my-gallery-template/

Same thing goes for Autoindex. Only upload Autoindex exports to the ttg-be/templates/autoindex/ folder.

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

Hi Rod,
thank you for all.
A little bit and I've done...

I've create and put the first directory created with CE4 into ttg-be/templates/gallery/my-gallery-template/
I don't understanding what is Autoindex. Where I can export this, and why ?

However, on ttg-be I've setting the top-level galleries.
Now I've the first albums, and another that I've created for test.

So I've publish 2 albums from LR. All ok.

Now, I'm ready to send a url to my client :
ttg-be/templates/gallery/my-gallery-template/

But I've an error like this : don't found template_cart.php

So I've seen that inside gallery I've missing two directory : cart-default and crg-default

So, i opened the zip file(CE4-TTG-BE-203.zip o rar I'don't remember now) and put two directories into :
ttg-be/templates/gallery

Now I've into this directory the followed directories :

- cart-default
- crg-default
- my-gallery-template/ (the first gallery created wit CE4)
- francesco.lrtemplate

I tried to send the url to my client but "Client response gallery" ask an email and a password.

Where I can set the user and password for each album !?

I've seen into CE4 password protection, but in my preset (francesco.lrtemplate) is not active.
So, I've tried to put a default user and pasword. First like Master Credentials and then like Guest Credenzial, but nothing !!!

Thank you

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

However, on ttg-be I've setting the top-level galleries.

Huh? The top-level galleries folder is set in Lightroom in Publisher Set up

Now, I'm ready to send a url to my client :
ttg-be/templates/gallery/my-gallery-template/

No. the my-gallery-template is meant to be used by Publisher to create albums. Your clients should never see it.

the albums you create with Publisher are the ones you send to your clients. They will be in your galleries/ folder (assuming a standard Pages-based set up. Otherwise they'll be in the folder you designate as the top-level galleries folder.

Now I've into this directory the followed directories :

- cart-default
- crg-default
- my-gallery-template/ (the first gallery created wit CE4)
- francesco.lrtemplate

take out fransesco.lrtemplate, there is no need for that. Publisher templates are exported galleries
(as are autoindexes for use with Album Sets)

I don't understanding what is Autoindex. Where I can export this, and why ?

Autoindex allows you to create categories of albums. Or perhaps an index for several client album

see: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … auto_index .

You also will probably want it if you plan on creating any Album Sets with Publisher.
See: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … album_sets

I tried to send the url to my client but "Client response gallery" ask an email and a password.

This will happen if you choose "Managed by CRG Admin" in the under the Integration tab in album set up.
See deployment options here: http://theturninggate.net/2015/02/clari … e-gallery/

Where I can set the user and password for each album !?

This is all handled in the CRG admin section of TTG-BE under Clients.
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … ts#managed

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

Ok,
I'm stupid man but slow slow ...with you... i'm almost arrived at the solution !! smile

Ok, the correct link for my client is : mysite/galleries/Album_client_name
I've deleted the old album, create a newest with "standalone" in the under integration tab.
Now it work. No email and password wink))

But the album page is not my template (francesco.lrtemplate).
The CE4 master album in "www.mysite/ttg-be/templates/gallery/masteralbum/" have to do this no ?!
Under TTG CE4 Publisher album setting, I read :
- Template = masteralbum

I've also exported francesco.lrtemplate but you have write that I cannot use this.

Thank you very much Rod.

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

Anything with the .lrtemplate extension is a Lightroom template meant to be used via the Template Browser (left side of Web Module), not used by Publisher.
Publisher "templates" are actual exported galleries made with CE4 Gallery, CRG or Stage (for albums) or exported CE4 AutoIndexes (for Album Sets)

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

Why it doesn't work ?

Look here this is the "master album" made with CE4 :
http://www.francescorussotto.it/ttg-be/ … luanatest/

And here a mini album (2 photos) made for test :
http://www.francescorussotto.it/galleries/nico/

It have no the same template. No images name, no text description...

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

It's working exactly as expected, the design appears to be the same.

Template text is not automatically included in published albums. that's what the Page Content tab is for in the Create/Edit Album dialog box. You'll see buttons that allow you to place your template text content if you wish to. You can then customize each album by adding text content that will only appear in that album.
(if you're using Windows, it's easiest to write the text in Markdown in a plain text editor then copy/paste into the content field)

You don't have any caption information on the images because you've not set that up in your template under Output Settings > Publisher Settings
See the documentation: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … ata_tokens

Re: Publisher problems in authentication

"You don't have an caption information on the images because you've not set that up in your template under Output Settings > Publisher Settings"

So, I've to activate a caption (where is the specific command? Please...), create a new "Master Album" and upload it under http://mysite/ttg-be/templates/gallery/ ?

"Template text is not automatically included in published albums. that's what the Page Content tab is for in the Create/Edit Album dialog box. You'll see buttons that allow you to place your template text content if you wish to. You can then customize each album by adding text content that will only appear in that album."

Is it "Pacecopy (md) ?

UPDATE :

Ok,
The Template text is ok :
http://francescorussotto.it/galleries/test/

Remain ONLY the name of the file, te caption under the thumbnails. I do not find were is the command to active it.

Thanks

In Image Info, enable the metadata you want shown (I think this is already set, based on looking at your template that you linked above)

Then, in Output Settings > Publisher Setup > Metadata Outlets, make the same settings.

Again, that's in the Publisher documentation: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … ata_tokens
