Home Page Gallery issue

I am trying to manage my home page and using publisher to update the Gallery.
It all works ok except I get a grid view of the images rather than a  slideshow.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Graham

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

you're probably using a CE4 Gallery as your template. Use Stage configured for Galleria

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

Oh does that mean  I have to purchase stage then? In CE3 I never had to.

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

CE4 Pages includes gallery support for a single page (usually the Home page) -- Galleria and Full-screen gallery -- but that gallery cannot be managed with Publisher due to structural limitations. Publisher needs to work in a writeable directory; we do not want the top-level of your site to be writeable, as that would open vast security issues.

So to manage the Home page gallery with Publisher, you will need to create a gallery template using CE4 Gallery or CE4 Stage.

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

Hi Matt,
Yes well in fact I did use CE4 Gallery to create the gallery template but Rod said (you're probably using a CE4 Gallery as your template. Use Stage configured for Galleria) hence my question. So it should work then correct?

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

If you want a Galleria slide show that you can control via Publisher you will need to use Stage to create the Publisher template.
So yes, you need to purchase Stage if you want Publisher control of a Galleria slide show

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

Rod,
I am really sorry I am not sure I understand the difference (sorry if I am being stupid).

What I want is a home page galley managed bu publisher the same as I had under CS3 (www.graham-mansfield.com)
I thought I was using a Highslide gallery on the current homepage?

Re: Home Page Gallery issue

what you have on your CE3 site is a Galleria slide show.

So if you want a slide show on your CE4 home page, you can either use Pages' built in Galleria slide show, or, if you want it manageable by Publisher, use Stage to create the Publisher template
