Installation: CE4 to Mac os 10.8.5 (Mtn Lion)

Hello,

I've tried the double-click to install. Nada.

I've tried dragging the .lrwebengine file to the Web Galleries folder. Nada.

I've read endless support posts about the difference between a web engine and Web Template and everything else.

All I know is...After I installed a Feedback gallery a couple years ago, I'd pop into the web module, select it, customize it, and save it.

Now I don't see either my old Feedback gallery or my new CE4 Gallery in said list.

Thank you for your help.

Double click won't do it.
Have you seen the installation instructions?

Yes, it's in the Web Galleries folder.

Neither it nor my old Feedback gallery appear in the Template Browser of the Web Module.

I have restarted LR a couple times.

How do you attach an image to one of these responses? I have a screen grab for you.

Notes: Time to kill this old page http://wiki.theturninggate.net/doku.php?id=installation since there's a new one with Snow Leopard and Mavericks instructions

AND in Chrome, the anti-spam field where you type in 'Lightroom' to submit a response to a forum question doesn't work. It just refreshes the page.

Screen grabs:

Finally, this: "In the Layout Style control pane on the righthand side, you should see the newly installed web engine listed for use." I don't have a Layout Style option. Lightroom 5 says whether the template is HTML or Flash in the left column.

The controls on the righthand side of the web module I see are for customizing whichever template is selected on the left. Please advise.

I'm in LR5. The controls on the righthand side of the web module I see are for customizing whichever template is selected on the left. Please advise.

right click on any of the headings in the right hand pane and make sure that Layout Style is checked

Neither it nor my old Feedback gallery appear in the Template Browser of the Web Module.

they don't appear there, as you've probably discovered already. Any user template you create from them will appear there, but not the web engine itself. That's in the right hand panel

Good Lord. That did it. Thank you!

Maybe the support pages should mention all this joy.

it's the way all Lightroom control panes work so is more of a basic Lightroom issue than a ttg issue.

but Lightroom does like to hide features, doesn't it? smile
