Upgrade strategy...

Hello,

I'm using CE3 (Auto index, Gallery, Cart and Publisher) for my webshop. I want to upgrade all plugins to CE4. Do I need to upgrade all in once or can I do it step by step???

Like below???

Step 1:
Upgrade Cart to Cart CE4, using Autoindex, Gallery and Publisher CE3

Step 2:
Upgrade Autoindex to CE4

Step 3:
Upgrade Publisher to CE4

Step 4:
Upgrade templates to Gallery CE4

Or do I have to start with upgrading Publisher to version CE4 followed by the rest???

Re: Upgrade strategy...

You need to leave Publisher CE3 in place to use the migration feature of Publisher CE4. Since they don't live in the same folder this won't be an issue. See http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _migration

You'll probably want to install TTG-BE first and then upload the publisher folder to it. Then generate and upload your Publisher templates.

Since Cart is also installed inside of ttg-be, you can install it at any time without needing to delete the old cart. Might as well do it before using the Publisher migration tool.

If you're using Autoindex as your top-level galleries folder you can replace those files at any time
