what happens when BL gets an image

I don't quite understand what happens when an image is published as to size, etc.
For example this image from the Album:
http://garylittle.com/galleries/pcolaba … id=1&pid=3

started out in LR as .tif image size 6000 x 4003px and ended up a jpg size  1136 x 757 px.
When looking at the image in the Album Inspector we get

3715 image

What happens when you process the images? Sizes change, but what is the reasoning or the algorithm??

I have another one that went from LR 2868 x 2574 px nef to BL 2000 x 1331 px jpg.

Re: what happens when BL gets an image

Images are exported and published according to the width, height and quality that you define when creating the album template. The numbers you're seeing here are styling properties that Photoswipe is using to display your image on the screen, scaling the image visually as necessary. Those values are representative of the slideshow display, not the image file.
