Problem with inconsistent thumbnail magnifications

Hi

I did a site rebuild from scratch and was aware I changed the setting about expanding thumbnails to fill frame - I didn't like result so changed it back. It is still "off". However since I did that more and more of my thumbnails are randomly going to the fill frame version and so seems out of control...

Are there any tips for bringing it back to the ordinary view and keeping it there?

To illustrate below is a snapshot of the problem:
Pics 1 and 2 in this have gone full frame whereas the rest are OK.

When I looked again 30 min later another one had done it...

So its inconsistent and unpredictable...

Re: Problem with inconsistent thumbnail magnifications

is this in an album or album set? (links to actual pages always helps)

some things to try:

-clear browser cache
-republish the thumbnails
-clear template cache
