Publisher fails to create folder

I just updated LR to LRCC 2015. CE4 Publisher automatically appears in the Publish drop down list.

I had published an Album Set and 2 Albums using LRCC 2014 with no problems. I just tried to publish another Album to that set and Publisher fails to create the folder on the server. Permissions are set to 755. http://www.lesmarmitonsnj.com (Our Events > 2015-2016 Events). Publisher does authenticate the connection.

Re: Publisher fails to create folder

I'm running the latest LR CC2015.2.1 and Publisher is working as expected for me

I suggest gathering your logs and sending an email to Ben

Re: Publisher fails to create folder

Contact Ben then. Along with logs, he'll likely need ttg-be admin access. Perhaps FTP access as well

Re: Publisher fails to create folder

Where am I going to find these logs? There are none in User/../AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom/6.2.1 or any other of the versions under Lightroom.

Re: Publisher fails to create folder

Hi Paul, the error message I see is:

"Unable to create album at .\/..\/..\/galleries\/2015-2016-events\/9-2015-october"

What's happening is that Publisher is trying to create /galleries/2015-2016-events/9-2015-october/ when the parent directory at /galleries/2015-2016-events does not exist.

I see that 2015-2016-events removed via Publisher on 30/7.

I suggest trying to edit that album set, to see whether that re-creates the directory on your server.  Following that, try editing the album within that album set to see whether than also creates the album.  All going well you'll be able to publish.

Re: Publisher fails to create folder

the url to the 2015-2016 events is: /galleries/04-2015-events/
Did you change the slug or create a new album set somewhere along the line so as to control the order of links on the Events page?

Re: Publisher fails to create folder

Yes, i did change the slug because I made a mistake in the ordering characters. I use 10, 09, 08 etc to force the latest album to always be on the top left. I had left off the 0 which would have put 9-2015-october too far on top.

I probably also changed the slug in the set at some point because the word events was not needed.

I edited the set and the album and all is well again.

Thank you very much.
