Gallery and auto indexing

Help needed again please.
I have created a Home page using CE4 Pages at http://fjgphotography.co.uk - all looks good.

I then have made a gallery page using CE4 Gallery (by using the common template approach described) http://www.fjgphotography.co.uk/galleries/ which I want to be the holder of my Portfolio of 8 galleries, such when you click on the thumbnail a new gallery with a slide show will open. However when I uploaded the gallery and I click on a thumbnail I get a large image of the first thumbnail and by clicking next I get each one of the images from the the gallery page.

What I am after is the gallery index page type design as show in the Auto Index preview but when I go to that I can't see away to edit the Album title and description. I have Stage so I want a galleria Slideshow enabled please.
At the moment I can't see a way to edit or enable the galleria slideshow.

Not wishing to complicate the above I have yet to get the TTG working as my hosting company have been working on getting there system to enable PDO. do_sqlite and sqlite to work but I hope/think that is not causing me the problems.

I am starting to lose sleep over getting this working so help would be gratefully received

Re: Gallery and auto indexing

Your mistake is using CE4 Gallery to "hold" your eight other galleries.
Use Autoindex for this.

Galleria slide show is available in Pages for display on any one of yor Pages pages, like Home or About, etc.
For stand alone Galleria slide shows, use Stage.

Re: Gallery and auto indexing

Thank you for the reply
How can I replicate the design to mirror what I have produced in pages?
Plus how do I include the titles and description for the eight galleries in Stages.
I was starting to think I was not able to resolve the issues.
Great support Rod

Re: Gallery and auto indexing

To your first question:
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _templates

To your second question, enter the album title and description for any TTG plug-in right at the top of the Color Palette control pane
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … album_info

Re: Gallery and auto indexing

OK Rod
I know how to do that as per the gallery design
Would I then need to save the design as a new Stages template?
I just need a few more pointers as to how I link the auto index production to stages
Can I send you a PM please?

Re: Gallery and auto indexing

In the Web Module, bring up Stage. Then in the Web Module's template browser, save what you have as a user template.
Then copy the settings from your Pages user template to your Stage user's template as per the documentation

PM away
