Permalinks changing in CE4?

I was going to have some business cards printed with individual images on each card. I want to include a shortened url that would take a person directly to the image on my website. Before I have any cards printed, will permalinks to existing images in my galleries change in CE4?

Thanks - Monte

Re: Permalinks changing in CE4?

Yes, CE4 Gallery supports permalinks that go to individual image pages. You may observe this at:

The gallery even supports bitly.com URL shortening if you've signed up for an account, though the shortened URLs are only used for Twitter sharing. Still, you can click the share button for Twitter, copy the shortened URL, then cancel the share if you want to use it elsewhere.

Re: Permalinks changing in CE4?

Thanks Matthew. Am I right though in saying that a permalink from CE3 will not be the same in CE4? The format looks different in your gallery. I just don't want to print cards that won't work after I update!

Re: Permalinks changing in CE4?

The format of permalinks in CE4 is entirely different. I would definitely NOT print your cards just yet.
