Links in Markdown

Is there a way to have links open in a new tab or window when using Markdown?
Thanks,
Cliff

Re: Links in Markdown

I'm pretty sure you'll need to do that with regular html

<a href="http://www.somesite.com" onclick="window.open(this.href); return false;">Some site</a>

or

<a href="http://www.somesite.com" target ="_blank">Some site</a>

Re: Links in Markdown

As the command is to be put in a file in 'fragments', it does not work with regular html.

This is how the script reads in 'fragments":

* [CameraClubOosterbeek](http://www.cameracluboosterbeek.nl)
* [Lightroom Web-Plugins](http://www.theturninggate.net)

Now, when I add target="_blank"  I only get the new text to see when I look into my site.

Do you have another suggestion?

Re: Links in Markdown

Regular html works fine, but don't try to format it as you would Markdown. Just use the html tags, no brackets and parentheses
This:<a href="http://yoursite.com" target="_blank">your site</a>
Rather than this: [your site](http://yoursite.com target="_blank"), which won't work
