#1 Re: Backlight Support » Theatre - Vegas Inline Red border » 2016-11-13 06:22:39

Thanks Rod,

Browser cache was the problem. Just another thing, and such a simple one, to think of when it doesn't seem to work. Appreciate your assistance.

Now off to sort out a few other little issues with the site before it is finished.

Cheers,
Daryl

Hi Rod,
Thanks for your help yet again.

1. I didn't add any custom CSS. I'm not at that level of progression.

2. I created a separate template solely for the slideshow. I did change the template image size.

Details from the template:

Template Name - DLP Home Page Slideshow
Page Template - DLP Master Page

Thumbnail
Width     210
Height    140
Quality   69

Photos
Width     960
Height    640
Quality   69

Colour Space    Adobe RGB

Album Setup
Location - Below Copy
Max Width - 1000 px
Margin Top - 5 px
Margin Bottom - 15 px
Padding - Left/Right - 0 px
Background Colour - White 255,255,255 (I originally had this as yellow to see what it did, but changed it to white on template, saved it, refreshed template cache, and it changed to white on the webpage when published)
Border Colour - White 255,255,255 (I originally had this as red to see what it did, but changed it to white on template, saved it, refreshed template cache, but it stayed as red on the webpage when published)
Border - 0 px (I originally had this as 2 px, then 1px then changed to 0px to see if I could remove the red)
Shadows - Off

Presentation Type - Vegas Slideshow
Presentation Style - Inline
Aspect Ration Width - 3
Aspect Ration Height - 2
Display Slideshow Controls - Off (I could see the change when I left this on and moved it from centre to right, and then when I turned it off it went)

Image Scaling - Cover

Hi,
I finally managed to get the Vegas Inline Theatre slideshow working on my website www.daryllynchphotgraphy.com.

However, I was trying some design options, and using coloured borders and page backgrounds to see what different things do. Now I can't remove the red border around the slideshow images.

In the theatre template the borders are set to white, as is page background. I know I have sorted out most of the issues I had, but this one has me baffled. Any ideas?

Also, I'd like to make the slideshow images smaller than 640 by 960, but can't find where to do that.

And I have to sort out the copyright issue of dates as well.

Then the base website is just about complete. Just have to add a couple of static images on the about and contact pages.

After that I have to sort out CRG pages before my next shoot.

I think Backlight is a lot simpler than CE4, but it still has a few trial and error frustrations. Hope someone can help again.

Thanks,
Daryl

Thanks for the confirmation. I expected that response. Hopefully, others think this may be a valid suggestion and it could be easily coded I expect.
At the moment all I have to do is make a decision on which menu option I prefer.

Hi,
I finally purchased Backlight the other day, and have been working through developing it in a test environment. I'm very impressed with how it is coming along and how quickly it is to see the results of changes made in settings.

I would like to have two menus operational though.

In the masthead, the traditional menu "default" of Home, Galleries, About, Contact, Search (with blog to come).

In a 2 column album set template and album template, not only would I like to retain the masthead menu as described above, but also in Tray 1 have a fly out menu that covers the variety of album sets and flies out with album titles.

I don't want to have the album sets at the top of the masthead.

Is this possible, and if so how? And please keep it simple and provide details if this goes into a "programming" solution.

Regards,
Daryl

#6 Re: CE4 Publisher » TTGMigrator.lua:86: attempt to concatenate a nil value » 2015-01-27 23:57:31

Hi Ben,

I didn't have a default album in CE3 Publisher, but do in the CE4 Publisher.

There was a directory that did originally have albums in it, in LR and on the server. I had previously deleted the albums from LR and all that was left on the server was a jpeg file.

I deleted the main album set on the server and in LR.

Then tried again to get the same error message. Any more suggestions?

Cheers,
Daryl

Hi Ben,
Enjoying the "great" weather in our wonderful city?

I have decided to move to CE4 with the release of CRG. I think I have developed all my pages, and templates, and set up BE, Publisher (without templates) and Cart, uploaded Pages, and next step was to transfer CE3 Published Albums to CE4.
In doing so I am getting an internal error "TTGMigrator.lua:86: attempt to concatenate a nil value".

Any ideas?
