I am having some problems embedding images on my pages.
TTG Backlight version: 1.1.1
http://michaeltarmour.com/

I typically embed images on my home page (http://michaeltarmour.com/) and my Exhibits Page (http://michaeltarmour.com/Exhibits/)
I have not uploaded any new images since upgrading to 1.1.1
If I embed images I previously uploaded prior to upgrading to 1.1.1 - they display just fine on both pages.
If I try to embed an image I upload today - I get a broken link icon. This happens on both pages.

I upload my images via Designer - Templates - Uploaded Images.

Format for embedding is:
Home Page: <img src="/backlight/photos/home_image.jpg" width="600" class="alignleft"> (this is working on both pages)
Exhibits Page: <img src="/backlight/photos/clydesignweb.jpg" width="600" class="aligncenter"> (This does not work on either page)

clydedesignweb.jpg infomration:
- 8 bit RGB
- 1000 x 1250 pixles at 150 ppi
- file size: 209 KB

I've tested this from Firefox and Safari

UPDATE: When I access my website via FTP - I can see my previous uploaded images in the /backlight/photos/ directory but the image I uploaded today is not there?  If I manually upload the image to the /backlight/photos/ directory via FTP - the image displays.

Does the Uploaded Images functionality put these images somewhere else in 1.1.1?

Daniel

Thank you! That worked.  That's why I don't particularly care for coding - one little symbol off and nothing works - LOL.

Hello all -

website location: www.michaeltarmour.com

I created a new page called 'Exhibits' for my website.

On this page - I would like to feature the logo of the location of my upcoming exhibit.  I used the following code in the 'Page Copy/Main Copy' area: <img src="backlight/photos/FaintingGoat.jpg" width="350" class="alignleft">
While I get a 350pix wide place holder - the image does not load.

I put the exact same code on the home page of my site and the image loads fine - so I know there isn't a directory or filename typo.

Am I missing something here?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

I tried to post this in the hints & tips section but cannot post there - so hopefully the moderators will format and move this.

While the document referenced in this post: http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … hp?id=6779 has some great tips, I feel that it is lacking in a couple of steps and observations that are specific to Backlight and users new to using this kind of tool for their website.

If you want to include an image on your home page (For example: see my website at - http://michaeltarmour.com/)

1. You need to get your image into a handy location on your hard drive.  Either edited/exported out of Lightroom or other program.
2. You need to go in your web hosting server, via FTP or their interface, and create a folder that you want these stand-alone images housed. You can put this folder in the root structure of your website or in the /backlight folder.  I chose to do the later and include a 'photos' folder in my backlight folder.
3. Upload the image(s) you plan to embed in the pages of your website to this newly created folder. To my knowledge - you cannot use the built-in Designer-Templartes-Uploaded Images tool for this task as it renames the uploaded image and strips the extension off.
4. To include the image in a specific page of your website you need to add code similar to that referenced in the article above.  There are many sources online for web page coding that can be of further use.

For example: to get the image in the 'Page Copy' section of my home page, I added the following line of code to the 'Page Copy' field of 'Designer-Pages-Home-Design' - <img src="backlight/photos/home_image.jpg" width="600" class="alignleft">

I am a brand new user of this tool.

I just installed Backlight with Pages on my domain today.
Connected Lightroom via the TTG Publisher plugin.

Lightroom version: Lightroom CC (2015.6.1 Release - the latest I believe)

When I upload multiple images - it changes the thumbnail as well as the image to the one I have marked as a cover image in Lightroom.
Please see here: http://michaeltarmour.com/galleries/Images-2016/

What could be causing this?
Is there a way to fix this?
