After having not updated my CE4 plugins for a long time I am a bit confused how to get the latest versions of my modules. In the past I got links or I had the chance to download them with my order numbers, but all old links are dead and I wasn´t able to find a link that works. What can I do?

No show stopper, I can live with that
Thanks Ben!

#5 Re: CE4 Cart » VAT within EU » 2015-06-24 20:35:15

Hi Ben,
sorry for confusion, just found a good solution:
The price in the gallery is the the price without tax, which is the same as for all non European customers.
Afterwards according to the delivery country tax and shipping is added. That´s perfect for me.

If we are talking of an European customer with valid UID-number I need to give him the same status as non-European customers (no tax, only shipping)

We are almost there!
Thanks

#6 Re: CE4 Cart » VAT within EU » 2015-06-24 19:18:42

One more thing,
I am charging the Austrian tax (VAT) only when shipping to an European country (exept if the European customer outside of my country has a valid UID-number). When shipping to one of all other countries in the world I ship without tax, only add the shipping costs.
So in my understanding I need to start with the ground price (no tax), when the Delivery country is one of the European countries I need to add the Austrian tax.
When I select a European country it does not add the tax it only shows me that  € ... is allready included what is not true.
Am I wrong?

#7 Re: CE4 Cart » VAT within EU » 2015-06-24 17:39:47

Hello Ben,
thanks for the improvements!
I understand that I have to add the additional needed UID-number field which the customer fills in during the checkout. The customer allway pays the full price with the included tax.
I get the order, check via internet the UID number and if it is valid give him the tax back.

I don´t know if there is a better way so that the customer does not have to pay the tax first and get it back later?

I don´t know if there is a possibility, that whenever the customer fills in a UID number that the order process is interrupted, I get a mail, check the number, if it is ok I send him a discount number for the included tax and he finishes the order with the reduced price?

Any ideas are wellcome!

Thanks
Wolfram

#8 Re: CE4 Cart » VAT within EU » 2015-03-27 18:56:24

Ben,
When I am talking of VAT, then I am talking of sales tax.
So, when I am selling Prints (no digital downloads, there I don´t know the law)to someone in the EU and the customer has no VAT reg. nr. then I have to add our Sales tax.
So I only need to extend the Sales Tax Country to all European countries. If there is a possibility for the customer to insert in a separate field the VAT. reg. Nr. which would exclude then the addition of Sales Tax it would be perfect.
For a correct bill then we would also need to have the VAT. reg. Nr. of the Seller and the Customer below its address.

#9 Re: CE4 Cart » VAT within EU » 2015-03-27 17:36:07

Hallo together,
At the moment I intend to add the VAT to the price, tell the people that the VAT is included and everyone that is outside the EU or has an UID-number will get a discount code to reduce the overall price by the included VAT.
Best for me would be to have a possibility to choose for which countries I would like to add the VAT.
If an American sells something to Europe he ships it without VAT and the European customs will charge the tax from the customer.
Greetings
Wolfram

Thanks for your support.

#13 Re: CE4 Publisher » Edit the database » 2014-11-01 02:48:25

When I add this WS_20140922_0977 to the pictures it looks normal. when I take it out of the gallery as normal, the picture is not there anymore but the empty 20/22. This happens only with this picture.

Hi,
there is something where I don´t know what I did wrong. In my gallery view there is a picture which I do not have in Lightroom and I don´t know how to delete it.
Please have a look:
http://www.art4u.photography/galleries/ … afie-graz/

Picture 1/22 is not existing in Lightroom. Is there a possibility to get rid of this non existing picture?

I republished the pictures and now it´s 20/22 !?

#16 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-13 01:24:54

I think the issue with the size is the fact that my pictures originally are all 16 bit  adobe rgb files. When exporting them via publisher it converts them into 8 bit rgb files but it does not export them as srgb, they are still adobe rgb files, thats why they are double the size.
Is there a possibility to change the color space in the export configuration of the templates or the publisher?

#17 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-12 18:17:51

Finally I got an Email from my Hoster, that they are sorry it was a problem in their system and now it should work!
Nevertheless I want to say Thank You to all the great guys that tried to help me!

Thanks,

#18 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-11 21:32:12

According to Ben´s suggestion I got in touch with my host provider They increased the available RAM (memory_limit) to 128M which seems to be the max for my package.
The site works better now but still not perfect.
I am using this site for picture galleries and a blog.
So, how can I improve my situation (what uses most ram?), or do I have to change the hosting package?
Thanks for Your support!

Thanks Ben,
the reason why I didn´t think about this as issue is, that I have a second, private, page at the same host without problems at all.

So my standard procedure when changing somethin in the Lightroom web-site setup:
1.) exporting the page-gallery, the Gallery-template, the AutoIndex-template and the wordpress-template to the desktop.
2.) uploading the files of the pages-folder (except the gallery-folder) to the root of my homepage
3.) uploading the Gallery-template to ttg-be/templates/gallery/
4.) uploading the AutoIndex-template to ttg-be/templates/autoindex/
5.) uploading the Wordpress-template to wordpress/wp-content/themes/
6.) updating all Albums from within Lightroom

Nevertheless it looks like something with the php-path is wron because according to the error log some files can not be found.

Any idea what went wrong? Looks like something in my working order is wrong

#22 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-10 17:34:00

Hi Fredy,

yes I have the same experience, it looks like to loose sometimes the connection, but we have another page also at this hoster without these problems. Thats why I think it has to do with this page. Whenever I do a site refresh I get different errors, how come.

Thanks anyway!
Greetings to Belgium.

#23 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-10 17:14:57

Thanks fredy for the info,
maybe it was during the time i tried the older version without any change, now i changed back to the latest version, same behavior. I don´t know what else i could do, tried almost everythingbut something must be wrong.

#24 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-10 16:00:30

I am trying now since three days to get my gallery pages working, but no success!
Every time I am in the deepest level of the galleries I get corrupt results. Every refresh of the page gives me a different kind of corruption.
I am at the end, I don´t know what else to try?! I need to have my page online again by tomorrow!

Please, has anyone out there an idea?

#25 Re: CE4 Gallery » Problem with Gallery » 2014-08-10 02:56:43

It´s an Austrian hosting, up to now I had no problem with them. I also changed the jpeg compression from 80 to 60%, no difference.
With Firefox it looks better, but with several refreshes I get also problems.
If you have any idea what else to check, please tell me.
