#1 Re: CE4 Auto Index » Setup autoindex compared to ce3 » 2015-07-03 08:01:08

Thanks Rod you pointed me out in the right direction. I think i deleted my autoindex gallery template while updating it. Lightroom is a bit slow so the change from one to another template has some latency. I think i resaved my autoindex gallery accidentally with a pages template :-)

cart seem to work now also well. It was indeed a problem with a missassigned pricing sheme.
Thanks a lot for all your support!

Ok thanks rod!
Its getting more clear to me but now i have a new problem. I just set up two publishing services in lightroom for two different arears of my photography. In each i have created a album set and several albums. This worked for a while but i was not able to add images to the cart as it always told me that there are no products.
ok so i deleted my templates in the ttg-be/templates/autoindex and in ttg-be/templates/galleries. checkd the settings of the templates in lightroom an reexported them again and uploaded them in the desired folders.

When i now want to add a new autoindex album set lightroom tells me that there is no template at all even i can see it in ftp
When i add an album i see my template selection dropdown in lightroom as normal.

do you have an idea what has happened to that template?
thanks again for your help!!
cheers

#3 Re: CE4 Auto Index » Setup autoindex compared to ce3 » 2015-07-02 22:37:57

Ok folks so i seem to understand a little bit more :-). By the way i indeed use the publisher out of lightroom.
The new ttg-be is something like a framework structure and the new autoindex folder wich was in ce3 right under my root folder is now located in the ttg-be/template/autoindex folder. So i have the following structure for my whole site:

root/galleries/album sets/album
root galleries/album
root/ttg-be/templates/autoindex/autoindex gallery
root/ttg-be/templates/gallery/gallery template
root/folderstructure of pages

right ?

it would be a great help to have a wiki page that shows the typical folder structure for sandard installations perhaps in comparison to ce3 as this seems to be much easier in CE4 and thus makes it a littel confusing ;:-))
thanks folks for your help!
cheers

Hi folks,
i´m just realy confused. I came from a complete CE 3 installation with  autoindex ce3 to ce4 and i´m a bit confused as i could not find a step by step setup documentation for the autoindex like in ce3 in the wiki.
my problem is that i knew from ce3 that there was a autoindex folder with some stuff (autoinde.xml, gallery.xml and so on in it .
When i read the documentation of CE4 it points me out just to add a autoindex template to the ttg-be/templates/autoindex.
So is that pretty all to run the autoindex feature and can i delete now the autoindex folder from my old ce3 installation?

Just to clearify, i use pages, autoindex, cart, gallery, ttg-be. So as i understand the documentation i just have to setup the ttg-be and add the gallery and the autoindex exportd galleries from lightroom. As well i exported the pages to the root of my site (http://select.ipixyou.com/). Now i can publish with the lightroom publisher and every time a do a album set with albums inside the autoindex feature is working as i selected the template file while creating the album set. right ?
Thanks for a clearification :-)
Cheers

Hi folks,
i just bought the ne pages version. after setting up all things (pages, gallery, publisher, autoindex, cart) i can navigate nearly to all pages but my gallerie page does not work at all :-(

you might inspect this here:
http://select.ipixyou.com
If i publish a gallery it apperas well as you can see here:
http://select.ipixyou.com/galleries/testalbum/

The error i see is this - pointing me to the conclusion that something is wrong with my autoindex setup? :

Hi Ben,
ok so shall i install the actual beta? It is my production site as i deleted already the version 3 of my installation. So i´m not sure if it is stable enough to copy it over to my site?
Would it help if i give you a ftp or admin acess to my ttg-be?
Thanks for your support !
Have a sunny day

#8 Re: CE4 Publisher » Publisher seems to publish wrong images + no download files published » 2015-06-28 23:24:10

Hi ben,
thanks for your reply! this template was always configured for digital downloads so the album should be enabled for the cart process. I additionaly republished everything. Indeed there is a folder photos for download and another photos for purchase. In both the images are available.
So the question is where the link is missing? I know that i can add images manualy but this is a slow process for larger orders and i need the automatic that is included in the cart/gallery process.
So is there any way to get an idea where the path is set to a wrong direction. or can it also be another error that is caused by my configuration ?
thanks in advance

Hi Rod,
thanks for your answer. Indeed this fixed the first problem with the images themselves. But i still have the problem that the downloads do not appear as downloadable after i set the files as payed in the cart. Any suggestion to that issue as well would be a great help!
thanks in advance

Hi,
i just updated everything to actual versions following the readme files in the update zip´s.
So i use autoindex, publisher, ttg-be, cart , gallery in the actual versions.
I also updated the lightroom plugin under CC2015.
When i publish a album with several shots publisher publishes several images double, tripple and so on others are not published as their place is occupied by the doubled ones. As well several image thumbs are totally distorted. I just wanted to add some screenshots but did not figure out how to add them to this post.
You can see the effect on the livesite here:

http://select.ipixyou.com/ce4autoindex/ … /index.php

user: gast
pass: gast

as there is a problem with the download files as the download image links do not show up after stting the status to paied in the cart admin. When i look via ftp into the autoindex / published gallery name folder there is no subfolder for bought images without watermark.

So i need help to get the thing back running.
thanks in advance

#12 Re: CE4 Auto Index » How to install autoindex with publisher in an ce3 / ce4 environment » 2014-08-14 08:43:35

Thanks Rod!

And what about the question with the galleries folder ?
In all docs i always reed /galleries/...
but is that in the root so it has to be

httpdocs/galleries/

or in a sub structure like

httpdocs/ttg-be/galleries/
httpdocs/ttg-be/publisher/galleries/

Seems i missed something in the documentation
thanks in advance

Hi,
since houres im searching for a solution how to set up a new CE4 instance on my domain beneath my CE3 as i need to keep my client respond gallery working. As i could not find a installation description where to move the autoindex template that is generated by lightroom engine i don´t know how to proceed.
Situation:
At the moment i have 1 domain http:/mydomain.com containing a CE 3 installation with this folder structure:

httpdocs/
- cart-data
- autoindex
- publisher
- cart

To show up my index i use the http://mydomain.com/autoindex

Everything works well under these conditions

Additonaly  i have a
ttg-be folder under that httpdocs folder that should hold my CE4 installation.
So the complete folderstructure is like

httpdocs/
- ttg-be /publisher
- ttg-be /cart
- ttg-be /admin
- ttg-be /framework
- ttg-be /data
- ttg-be /data/publisher
- ttg-be /data/cart
- ttg-be /data/admin
- ttg-be /templates
- ttg-be /templates/gallery
- ttg-be /templates/gallery/name_of_template_1
- ttg-be /templates/gallery/cart-default
- ttg-be /templates/autoindex

- cart-data
- autoindex
- publisher
- cart

Now i don´t know how to proceed with the auoindex template. where do i have to copy that?

Second, if i try to publish a album with the publisher i always get a message:

Unable to perform action: createAlbum
Message: Unable to find the directory ./../../galleries.
Please create this directory and set permissions to 777

So i have no idea whats going on with that thing. As i tried to ad a new folder in the root/ and in the /publisher called galleries and even that did not work.
I hope to get a fast help as setting up that stuff is a bit frustrating :-/
thanks in advance
carsten
