Re: Breadcrumbs

Have you compared the Breadcrumb settings for each site?

Go to Publisher > Top-level Galleries. Click on your top level gallery and then click on Edit Properties. Look for Show Top-level Breadcrumb in Child Albums and Sets and see if that setting makes any difference.

Re: Breadcrumbs

Turned off the breadcrumbs in Child Albums and Sets but it makes no difference. I did not forget to clear the cache. I also checked in the "tnm" site and the Child Albums and Sets are turned on. So that's not it.

As a matter of fact, I checked and compared all instances of "breadcrumb" settings on both site Backlight pages.

Every mention of a "breadcrumb" setting is identical on both sites.

Re: Breadcrumbs

on my test site, an album using the single image presentation shows the image title in the breadcrumb. Yours shows the album name (or is that what's in the image title?).

Are you using the latest version of Backlight?

Re: Breadcrumbs

For what it's worth, here are the screenshots from the Inspector:
- duc_bread

-tnm_bread

I'm not too sure what this all means except for the fact that there are four entries on the "duc" page.

Re: Breadcrumbs

on the site with three breadcrumbs you have:

top level gallery > album set > album

on the site with four, it looks like:

top level gallery > album set > album > image title

Are both sites using the latest version of Backlight?

This is in the Changelog for the latest version:

Reinstates album title breadcrumb, and image title within breadcrumbs for single image pages

this probably explains why one site has three breadcrumbs and the other has four.

Re: Breadcrumbs

I use ttg_crumbs to add breadcrumbs to regular pages to provide a more consistent look. More about this at http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … hp?id=8430

Just having ttg_crumbs() in your phplugins file doesn't do anything since it has to be called from main_top.

Re: Breadcrumbs

Since the site with three breadcrumbs was built before the other one, could it be that it's using an older plugin?
If so, I would be inclined to revert to this older plugin with the site that has four breadcrumbs, unless there is another means to keep those breadcrumbs to three.
But isn't just one plugin used for all TTG Backlight websites?  The "newer" installed plugin should produce four breadcrumbs on all the sites?

Daniel, I now understand that the php file as it is now written is useless.

Re: Breadcrumbs

One way around this would be to have the image filename appear as the fourth breadcrumb and not appear as a caption under the image.

This is why I asked (above) if both sites are using the latest version of Backlight. Go to the Backlight Modules page and check. Update if an update is available.

If the Title field is empty, the filename will show up by default. You can also put the file name in the Title field of all images.
Then remove the filename token from the Caption field under Photo Presentation

After making any changes to metadata, be sure to republish the images. (use the Push Metadata feature so that you don't have to republish the images themselves)
