Php files can't just be created like CSS files. That's why I had following line included:

*) To create the custom phplugins file, duplicate phplugins-sample.php and name it phplugins-frontpage.php

Re: Home page Theater "Enter" button question.

Daniel,

Here is an update.

I changed the Masthead location from ‘Header’ to ‘Main Column” in the Backlight Template.

That moved the ‘Enter’ box to the bottom and now it works on all devices.

But I lost the “PHOTOS BY JACK” text across the top.

I would think that could be added back with CSS?

I would like to add it as now you get to the site and no name appears.

Any suggestion or help.

Thanks again,

Jack

Re: Home page Theater "Enter" button question.

Daniel,

Did you get a chance to look at being able to get a Masthead/Text back to the top of the page?
I am not sure why changing the masthead location to 'Header' causes the button to move to the to of the screen, but in that mode I get my masthead info. But in the 'main column' location move the button but loses the masthead info.

Thanks,

Jack

It shows for me in Chrome and Safari.

Re: Home page Theater "Enter" button question.

Daniel,

I am confused how that could be. My iMac (Safari and Chrome), MacBook (Safari), and IOS devices (iPad and iPhone) all do not show any text on top.

I have cleared out the history on some of those devices, but no change.

I don't know what to try next.

Thanks,

Jack

Any ideas.

Re: Home page Theater "Enter" button question.

To clarify. I don't get any text on the home page with the full page slide show. Once I enter the site I get the nav banner on top with the hamburger icon and the text.

Re: Home page Theater "Enter" button question.

Daniel,

I had a friend check the test web site and he is getting the same results as I do.

I have 2 screen shots that I will email, to you as I can't paste them in here.

First one is with Template set to show masthead location as "Main Column". As it is now. "Enter" button in bottom right corner and all works.

Second is with Template set to show masthead location as "Header". Its shows the white "Photos By Jack" text on top of the pictures at the top, but also has the button upper right, but still functional.

Thanks,

Jack

That's to be expected since you use a dedicated page template for the frontpage.

The masthead inside the Main Column is hidden with screens smaller than 1784px. Don't know why and don't know where to change this. But following CSS works for me:

.masthead {
    display: inherit;
}

Re: Home page Theater "Enter" button question.

Daniel,

A HUGE Thank You!!!!!!!!!!

It works.

Again I want to thank you for all your help with my mods. And once more I apologize for my lack of web coding knowledge.

I noticed that BenL in his post that he is going to use the Enter button code you developed. Nice.

And like him I owe you more than one beer.
