#126 CE4 Publisher » file renaming issue » 2015-10-24 04:36:40

In the publisher settings I want to make use of the file renaming option.
Using a template - that is working fine in all other cases for exporting or in other non TTG Publisher - all published images overwrite themselves with the same filename. So finally I have for example 10 images uploaded but they are all the same.

Any idea?

#127 CE4 Gallery » large image presentation options » 2015-10-22 07:01:09

In the appearance pane, large image presentation I can choose the presentation mode for both desktop and mobile.

Do I have the possibility to enable the social media sharing functionality in for example the touch presentation mode for mobil and at the same time disable that function for the highslide Slideshow mode for desktop?

The option to specify the first/last image navigation behaviour is only possible in the magnetic popup mode.
Any chance to see this option also in the other presentation modes?

#128 CE4 Publisher » published galleries don`t reflect settings within the gallery plugin » 2015-10-22 02:43:31

In CE4 Gallery I exported a gallery, uploaded the content and it is working fine.
In case of using the publisher (using the template with exactly the same settings in CE4 Gallery) I do not get the same results:
Some settings done in the gallery plugin are not considered when using the publisher

1. appearance pane, pagination: smart fill functionality is neglected when using the publisher

2. output settings, password protection: settings for master and guest credentials are not used. Only the settings for guest credentials within the publisher is used. How can I login with an admin account using the publisher?

3. output settings, image renditions: settings for metadata (only copyright) is neglected. Using the publisher all images have all metadata. I know that in case of using the publisher the settings under output settings, image renditions are "overwritten" with the settings under output settings, publisher settings, image download. Is there no chance to create images only with the copyright metadata using the publisher?

#130 Re: CE4 Publisher » further instances of publisher » 2015-10-13 05:55:16

we have a misunderstanding, I try to explain it in other words:
standard behavior: in pages the autoindex is set up to show the albums created via publisher on the galleries page (menu tab "galleries"). The autoindex can only link to one target
This works fine regardless of creating the gallery via publisher - using the gallery templates - or exporting the galleries from LR and copying them manually to the galleries folder.

Additionally to these galleries on the galleries tab I want to have further galleries e.g. stage based video galleries on another tab in the website menu structure.
I added the video item to the menu structure in the site info-navigation-hyperlinks section. Therefore I use the service section, rename it to video and link it to /services/. In case of exporting a stage gallery with the name "services" and copying this folder manually to the root level this gallery works fine and can be accessed via video tab in the menu structure.
I neither know how to put more than one stage gallerie on this video tab nor I know how to populate this video tab via publisher created galleries.

To achieve this I have to set up a 2nd instance of the publisher, correct?
How to set up a further autoindex called video to manage the stage based video galleries?

I want to realize the same as you can find at
http://terrywhitephotography.com -tabs galleries AND video

would be helpful if you can provide a step by step instruction. Thx in advance

Ok,
The new Autoindex Template ist stored under mysite.de/video.
2nd publisher instance is in place as you described.
These steps have already been done in the correct way yesterday.

I created a new album (using a stage template) under the 2nd publisher instance.
This new album I can now also find under mysite.de/video.

Where do I have to make use of the autoindex created at the beginning?
How can I access the created album via my menü structure?

you could target an autoindex folder as a second instance of publisher

To be honest: I do not know how to do this. Kindly ask you for a more detailed instruction

rod barbee wrote:

Other people have set up an autoindex named "videos" to contain Stage based video pages. They set up an instance of Publisher to control that.

That is exactly what I`m locking for.

I exported an auto index called "video". To which location do I have to upload this content?
I created a folder "video" on root level and uploaded it to this location
In the 2nd publisher instance I specified the top level galleries directory as "video"

I do not know how to proceed :-(

#133 Re: CE4 Publisher » further instances of publisher » 2015-10-12 05:00:38

OK.
And what is the benefit of using multiple instances of the publisher?
How are they "linked" to additional targets?

#134 Re: CE4 Publisher » Customizing search page » 2015-10-12 03:50:52

do you know the name of the css file I have to make the changes in?

In the documentation I found:
A single instance of CE4 Publisher can publish only to a single target. You may create additional instances to publish to additional targets.

I set up a 2nd instance in LR.
I specified a different top levels galleries directory. A new created album is now stored under this location.
My question: where do I have to specify, that the albums stored in that new location should e.g not be shown on the gallery page but instead on the info page? Where do I set up the additional targets?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

#136 Re: CE4 Stage » Panoramas in galleries and stage » 2015-10-12 03:21:57

Stage can't be an autoindex.
but you can use Autoindex to hold Stage pages. Like Matt has done here with the Stage demos
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/demos/ce4-stage/
the page is an autoindex, but all the galleries within are Stage pages.

Could you please give an instruction how to set this up?

#137 Re: CE4 Publisher » Customizing search page » 2015-10-12 02:11:00

OK, so I will use a template with no sidebar.
I have to achieve that the space used for the search box covers the whole width of the site.
In that case the image should also use the complete space.
Do you have an idea where to change the width of the search box?

Option B would be the following:
What do I have to do for placing the search box centered on the site?

This would be my favorite behavior.

#138 Re: CE4 Publisher » Customizing search page » 2015-10-12 01:25:16

You can modify the text in the block's main content are in TTG-BE > Publisher Settings > Search > Search Intro. The field supports Markdown and you can include images using html..

One question left:
How can I achieve that the image covers the full width of the page container?
Regardless of the values for width and height in the html tag the image only covers the width of the box for typing in the search attributes. The template used as the search template has no sidebar enabled.

P.S
I tried your test site's search page: typing in test, kicking on search all the text coming from the sidebar of the used template is going down the site. Any suggestions why? I do have the same problem.

#139 Re: CE4 Publisher » Customizing search page » 2015-10-12 00:26:34

You don't. Where did you see this?

This is the tooltip text for TTG-BE > Publisher Settings > Search > Search Template

I want to put an image on the search page

I know that search functionality is handled by the publisher settings in the admin panel.
There I can add text to appear above the search form. What do I have to do to place an image above the search form?

In search related publisher settings I have to use a search template. This template affects the appearance of the search page.

Why do I have to upload this template to a new directory under cart/templates?
The templates I can see in the dropdown menu are only coming from .../ttg-be/templates/gallery/...
and not from .../ttg-be/cart/templates/...

Anyway, the picture included in the chosen template will not appear on the search page.
Only the appearance of the grid is determined by the template I choose.
The specifications for the block and the page image assignment for the block are neglected.
Any suggestions what I`m doing wrong?

Via Stage it is possible to embed a link to youtube and vimeo in the appearance pane
Do I have  a chance to link to other platforms beside youtube and vimeo? If yes, how will the process look like?

#142 Re: CE4 Pages » Issue with permanent link feature » 2015-09-30 04:34:37

Ben, I tried the htaccess as outlined in this specific post... and it works, thx

#143 Re: CE4 Pages » Issue with permanent link feature » 2015-09-28 06:29:13

Hi Rod
I changed the .htaccess as suggested in the thread you mentioned and both versions produced the 404 error... (not a 403).

The exact error message on both cases:
You don't have permission to access /galleries/album-4/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

any further idea?

#145 CE4 Pages » password protection » 2015-09-28 00:18:47

I configured password protection settings and it seems to work

BUT -using the search functionality pictures can be found which are part of a gallery with a password protection.
Klicking on the search result I can directly see the image. No screen with login data occurs.
Only after clicking on the breadcrumb (which puts me one level higher - to the level of the password protected album) I get the expected screen to fill in the username and the password.

Any suggestions?

Hi
Creating a gallery by copying the gallery in the path .../galleries permanent links work as expected
URL in this case is for example: .../galleries/gallery%201/TR_20140529_Mallorca2014_180-single.php

Using the publisher the permanent link does not work. I get an error message
URL in this case is for example: .../galleries/album-4/TR_20130327_Lermoos_025-single.php

Are there any specific steps to follow to use the permanent link feature in case of using the publisher?
