#76 Backlight Support » Client Response Profiles » 2016-06-09 17:28:00

Hi Guys,

Looking to create a couple of Client Response Profiles fro different Clients/Galleries on my test site. Following the Documentation but cannot see the menu item to get to create them as per this from the Docs;

To create a feedback profile, in the Backlight admin menu, go to Client Response ⇒ Settings ⇒ Feedback Profiles.

All other settings, integrations and feedback work fine. All emails trigger etc.

Am I being Dumm again?

Also, for those of us who worry about doing the right thing smile

Here's a blog link from Silktide that just about sums the EU cookie law up nicely -  https://silktide.com/the-stupid-cookie- … d-at-last/

Thanks Matt,

Silktide working nicely, seems to load quicker than cookie-script as well.

Evening Guys,

Is it possible to use the Metadata Tags for {Title} etc. in the album Copy Area?

#81 Re: Backlight Support » Cookie Module » 2016-06-03 20:40:55

Hey Matt,

The site suggested by Rod works fine, but you have to subscribe to get the code, customize and remove the 'built by' tag, otherwise the script is pulled from their site.

I also like the look of the Silk Tide product and I'll be playing with that a little later smile

OK, that sorted it.

Deleted everything, started again and did it properly this time smile Back on track, but no idea what was going on...

Thanks for your help Ben.

Ooh, good shout Tom, thanks for the input!

I'll wait for Ben to get back to me, think it's night time in Aussie land right now.....

OK Matt, will do.

Hi Ben, have sent you an email with login details.

#86 Re: Backlight Support » Menu Woes » 2016-05-23 14:49:01

Really strange now....

I have removed all items from my menu except the gallleries item. My menu is the only menu and it is assigned to the correct page template. Cleared my browser cache, cleared the template cache and also used an alternate browser. However the 3 menu items still show on the home page! Galleries still points to the home page etc.

I renamed the .httaccess files in the root and in the galleries directory, tried adding url and relative links. Nothing seems to shift what I have on the page yikes(

Hey Rod,

Yes, cleared template cache, and cleared the browser cache as well. yikes(

Evening Guys,

Having a real issue with my new menu here: http://njp.kopstone.co.uk on my test site!

Created 3 albums. 1 for the Home page, hidden from the galleries album-set and 2 to show.

My Menu has only 3 items: galleries, blog, contact. The last two are set to external urls for testing and the galleries link is set to the galleries album set.

My issue is that; rather than show the 2 albums as a drop-down in hover, the galleries link just points to the home page. The blog and contact menu items continue to point to default locations of /blog and /contact.

I have removed everthing and re-created from scratch etc. etc. I guess I'm missing something simple here.

Any help greatly appreciated.

#89 Re: Backlight Support » Mini Feedly Toolkit » 2016-05-19 22:42:08

Thanks Daniel I figured this out. After much quizzing of junior family members it appears one of them had use of my Mac when I was away for the weekend. Changing the damn password now!

#90 Re: Backlight Support » Mini Feedly Toolkit » 2016-05-17 21:47:54

Thanks for your reply Rainer, but no it isn't the auto-refresh button.

#91 Re: Backlight Support » Mini Feedly Toolkit » 2016-05-17 19:00:10

Funny you should ask that Rod!

It's appearing at the bottom right of my browser when I view my site, thought it was part of Backlight......

Just checked my browser at work and surprise, surprise it's not there. Can't remember doing anything like that before, I think a family inquest is required!

Sorry for the bother, just ignore me I might go away smile

Gentlemen,

if I needed to move, change or disable the Mini Feedly Toolkit; how would I best go about it?

Afternoon Gentlemen,

Having fun playing with my Backlight test site, and I know I should be in Backlight World and not CE4 World when I ask this but.....

I would like to have scrolling images on my Home Page as I do in CE4 using a Stage Gallery. Will I need to wait for additional functionality or am I missing a trick as I can't seem to work it out with what I have.

Kyle, that's an excellent tool thanks for the link.

#96 Re: CE4 Stage » Video » 2014-09-10 16:47:48

Thanks Matt,

I'll have a look. Only reason for asking about free was I thought it would be a way of dipping my toe in the water as I only have a couple to do right away.

OK!

So I'm thinking of hosting some videos, nothing special, but what I know of video could be written on a postage stamp!

I have some videos that are .VOB so does anyone know of a good free converter for Mac. And what format should I convert them to, presumably html5 for stage?

Any help greatly appreciated.

#98 Re: CE4 Stage » Panorama widths » 2014-09-09 14:55:48

Hi Matt,

Sorry for the tardy reply, my largest panorama so far on my site is 9094 x 3031 http://jonevans.photography/galleries/l … 1-2_v1.jpg.

Sorted Rod!

Re-Exported and uploaded and it seems OK now.

Fuss over nothing really, back to the Red smile
