maybe a silly question, but do the API URL and API key belong to the Backlight installation you're currently working with? Could they perhaps be connected to a test site or other installation?

Not that i am aware,  I have checked the API's by changing both again,  still no luck.

Have you reconnected Publisher to the API URL? Does the verification pass?

Yes reconnected and all passed,  I can even create and upload a new gallery via publisher..

I did not have to re-renter the API etc that was already there and passed the verification,  just no galleries are listed..

Your catalog contains the Publisher collections. I think that all you need to do is to restore a backed up catalog and reconnect Publisher with the API URL and API key.

Tried that didn't work, my LR catalog is on a different drive to the one that failed, so once I had replaced the drive I loaded LR and pointed it to the catalog and everything in respect to LR is working just no publisher galleries?

Morning all,

I've had a HHD failure recently so I've had to reinstall windows etc,  I have a complete HDD backup, which files contain the publisher files, I.E the galleries I have uploaded?

I have the publisher listed in LR but no galleries below it,  I.E as it's a new installation.

I have created a "Photo Package"  test gallery here http://tsiphotography.co.uk/galleries/portraits/album/

The package contains 2 x 7x5's and 2 x 10x8 Prints, if you click on the "Add Photo Package" button and then select the pictures for the package,  once completed the cart icon that normally appears in the top right isn't there so you can not proceed to checkout, it only appears if you then add another item (outside of the package).  The total then shows the package price plus the single item purchased??

Thanks

Hi Ben,

Thanks I've amended and now seems to be working ok..

I'm trying to add a Package and I am unable to select the different Items for the products I have,  I.E I have "Wrapped Canvas", "Prints" and "Digital File", regardless what I select in Backlight for "Product" the "Size" option does not change it seems to always have the sizes for the Wrapped canvas.

For Prints, I have 7x5, 9x6, 10x8 etc, selecting Prints from the product list in Backlight packages the Size remains what I have for Wrapped Canvas??

Hope that makes sense :-)

when the password form is asking for an email address, then the gallery is a Client Response gallery.

Those galleries asking for usernames are regular albums configured with password protection in Publisher.

Those galleries asking for email address are Client Response albums.

Client Response albums are not accessible using the master password set up in Backlight > Publisher > Settings.

WOW thanks Rod,  I didn't know that :-(

I use CRG a lot, so does that now mean we don't have a master login details? If so isn't that a step backwards from CE4 CRG?

With CE4 CRG I allow the brides party and family\friends to download the images from the site, so i enable the download links in CE4 CRG, if backlight CRG are email protected I can't expect them to give out their email address to everyone..

In Backlight > Client Response > Localizations, you can set LABEL_EMAIL to whatever you want it to show on the login screen.

Can you login with a username/password combination?

Thank you Daniel,  but this isn't it,  when I create a gallery and then go to view published gallery the login says email not username, regardless of what i put in here it reports "incorrect email or password" even using the master details set in Publisher.

The galleries that are already live work fine IF the login screen asks for the "Username" when "Email is requested nothing works..

#89 Re: Backlight Support » Urgent Passwords » 2016-11-09 04:40:26

Hi Ben,

Yes I know everything has been working ok until today,

Although I don't follow what you mean here "Client Response logins are configured via the page Client Response > Clients within Backlight."

Even if i "Goto Published Album" in LR the login screen is asking for an email address instead of a Username?

A Little update if you goto http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/galleries/weddings/ and try clicking on random galleries why do some ask for an "email" to log in and some ask for a "username"?

Hi all,

Today I have had a number of emails from clients saying the can not get into their galleries,  the password do not seem to be working.

I have tried to publish a new gallery http://tsiphotography.co.uk/backlight/c … m_id=38543

I have tested with a new test gallery and for some reason Google Chrome is asking for an "Email" instead of "username on the login screen??

I do not have anything called master password only Http Authentication and that doesn't work,  I.E putting a user name in there doesn't work as a master

yep. In the Publisher settings there's an option to enable a master password

Is that "Http Authentication"?

I see Publisher has passwords to lock a gallery, but can we still have a master username and password like CE4?

Thanks Rod,

The .htaccess seems to have resolved that issue...

I'm just trying to get my head around backlight,  one small issue.

1. I have a new menu item called " Deposits & Payments"  http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/backlight-test/

2.  From this URL  http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/backlight-test/, the link is http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/backlig … e=Payments

3.  If you click here http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/backlig … es/events/ and then try to click "Depsoits & Paymenst the link is dead http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/backlig … /Payments/

4. From the root of http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/backlight-test/, it works fine, but the page URL seems to change from any other page,

I.E
backlight-test/?page=Payments
backlight-test/Payments/

One of the best i've seen so far, it would be good if users could share templates etc...
