Hi Rod, I'm running version 4 of the publisher plugin on the desktop and I've updated all the backlight modules on the server to the latest versions.
Where do I find the latest lightroom.lrplugin file?
Note sure what's broken here but I'm also getting an error code 418 from Lightroom when trying to publish to the live Backlight 2 site. The Publisher API is authenticating and it works fine if I direct it to upload an album to my test site.
Hi folks,
Found some time at last to migrate my CE4 site and ran into the error below when running the migration tool. Any advice please?

Oh ok, that’s hopefully straightforward enough then, thanks for the solution!
Thanks Rod, so I already have an album assigned to each page - if I create an empty album do I need to do anything else to force the hidden album title to be recognised as the page title? I might be over thinking this of course ?
Now I’m not sure if I’m missing something here, but is it possible to create a different page title for each page based on a single template? I can’t see how I assign a unique title to a page, it just looks like it defaults to whatever is entered into the template? I cover a range of photography and I’ve created a page for each area, eg events, corporate, products, food etc etc so if someone searches for one of the areas I cover I want the appropriate title to appear in the search results and I think google does that via the text that’s in the page title.
I’m in the process of upgrading from CE4 (I’ve got a couple of weeks to do it while things are quiet) and when I created separate pages for my CE4 site in lightroom I could put a different title on each page and quickly saw improvements in google search and ranking once I got a site map submitted, so I just need to work out how to do this in Backlight2. Can anyone help please?
Thanks Rod, yes the same as the CE4 site. Confused as to why the home page is different to the others, does that need a different template applied?
I disabled the vertical navigation to just make sure I was looking at the right thing! I've been in the CE4 world for a bit too long I think so I'm stepping through everything carefully at the moment
I was looking at your site at http://www.barbeephoto.com/blog/backlight/
Just realised that it's actually worked on every page apart from /home and /galleries - /home is set to use the default template like the other pages so this must be something simple that I've missed somewhere.
Hi Rod, thanks, I can't see an option to place navigation in the masthead so I might well be doing something daft here! Under Navigation/Location the only options are Header or Top Pallet? Neither of those pushes the logo above the navigation.
Backlight2 site is www.newsite.adecentexposure.co.uk and the active (CE4) site is www.adecentexposure.co.uk
Thanks for offering to take a look!
So I'm making some good progress with my Backlight 2 install - now laying the site out and I want to get it roughly the same as my CE4 site.
I've found the navigation menu is right at the top with my logo in the masthead below it and I want it the other way round (noticed that Rod has done this with his site). I just can't work out how to switch the positions, if I set the primary masthead location as "pallet 1" the logo doesn't show at all.
Any quick pointers please? I may be missing something simple unless this is a php plugins thing that I need to do?
Thanks Rod, I've emailed him, hope it's a quick fix!
Hi folks! I'm stepping through my Backlight 2 installation this morning and got this error from Lightroom when I tried to publish a test gallery:
Unable to perform action: uploadRendition
Message: Unexpected error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in ImageResizer.php on line 180
The site is on a subdomain, PHP version is 5.6. I've tested the publisher plugin API key which is recognised by the back end. Any suggestions please?
Thanks
Panic over, just had a dig around to check enabled PHP modules and the hosting company had upgraded me to PHP 7.2. I’ve gone back to PHP 5.6 and everything is working fine now so assume that CE4 and PHP 7.2 aren’t compatible.
Onwards with the Backlight upgrade!
Hoping Matt or Ben will pick this up - in summary my website which has been running perfectly for a couple of years now developed a problem yesterday morning with very slow running - galleries taking ages to load, home page gallery slow. I uploaded a largish gallery on Sunday evening which was fine. I contacted my hosting company in the UK (Namesco) to check and they told me there were no issues.
Today I've been unable to load the site most of the time and on the occasion it has loaded it's flashed the home page up and then a "cart unavailable" message - or a 500 site unavailable error.
I can't access TTG-BE (blank screen). I've purchased Backlight 2 & add ons to install this week when I've got a few quiet days but need to get this resolved before I start the upgrade. The only things I've done so far to try to resolve the problem has been:
Changing all permissions to 777 (they were 775) in case Namesco have moved my site to a different server;
Added a DNS entry for Google site verification (on Sunday evening) - which I removed yesterday in case it was somehow related.
Any help troubleshooting hugely appreciated!
Thanks Rod! Resetting the cart fixed it.
Matthew, we'll be upgrading to Backlight later this year!
So - I have the "display add package to cart button" checked in the gallery template and I've uploaded the template files to ttg-be/templates/gallery/
I've reset the cart.
Still no add package option showing?
Hi Matthew, where's that setting located? Is it in one of the templates?
So - I've been running cart verson 3.1.3 for ages but wanted to add digital downloads as packages. So yesterday I upgraded to version 3.1.4. The upgrade looks as though it's worked (I got a message when I went into ttg-be/admin and the cart version is showing as 3.1.4.
I've added products to the packages and reset the cart and double checked that I've got the correct pricing scheme, but the packages aren't showing up at all as an option when I go to add an item to the cart.
If I add a pricing scheme with only packages included (I've called the scheme "testpackage") I noticed that one of the packages is showing twice?
Loading a gallery with this scheme selected, if I click on the cart icon nothing happens, so it looks like something isn't being picked up somewhere.
Any ideas please?
That's fixed it! Thanks Rod!
Really hope someone can help me with what's probably a simple problem. I'm trying to change the text on the checkout buttons - my customers are confused and 50% of the time they select the "Proceed To Checkout" button instead of the "Checkout With Paypal" one - so perform a transactionless checkout. I don't want to turn the transactionless checkout off because some want to pay by cheque - but I do need to make it more descriptive. So something like "checkout with cheque" instead of "proceed to checkout" and "checkout with credit/debit/paypal" instead of "checkout with paypal".
I believe the answer is in modifying the US_en.txt file and I've tried modifying the one which is located at cart\application\config\lang\ but if I modify it there's no changes being shown on the web site. On the cart admin I can't find a way to select a different language file. So what do I need to do here?
Thanks Rod, this is for the contact page. What I want is for the contact details input boxes to be on the right, my text on the left with image below that text also on the left. The image just seems to want to be below the form and text, or above it. Just getting used to CE4 so it's all a bit new (I'm used to working with divs). I'm sure this is something I'm missing. Is this a case of embedding some html? Here's the page: http://swatts.org.uk/contact.php
OK, finally got around to getting my web site(s) under construction - but the text on the pages is below the image - is there something obvious I've missed here? I want it to be above.
Hi, I'm just looking at these products for shopping cart implementation on my website. My site is designed using Adobe Muse - can anyone advise if the CE4 cart and CE4 gallery will integrate ok - or do I need to completely rebuild everything from the ground up with more TTG products?
Any advice appreciated!
