#51 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upgrade to BL2 on my blog didn't go as well as my regular sites » 2018-09-20 01:37:44

Well, test site at https://blog.photophart.com/testblog is live again and the blank content is still there. Matt when you say you got the loop to work I suspect you hit the site while I was creating a new BL2 test site from a functioning BL1 site.

#52 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upgrade to BL2 on my blog didn't go as well as my regular sites » 2018-09-19 21:45:34

Hold on for an hour or two Rod, I'm redeploying the test site from the original to try some different settings.

To answer your question, the test site URL in BL2  is correct at https://blog.photophart.com/testblog

#53 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upgrade to BL2 on my blog didn't go as well as my regular sites » 2018-09-19 20:51:33

The content-less site I originally posted about is now in a subdomain at https://blog.photophart.com/testblog. As of this morning (08/19/2018) it was updated to the new TTG BL2 updates. As you can see everything seems to work except for the wordpress content which is still blank. The original site was converted back to BL1 several days ago and is working fine. PHPlugins is disabled on the test site. Any new ideas on what might be causing this?
Regards

Nope. If I go to your email I can. Clicking the email link under your name in the forum opens my email client. Clicking the email link under Matt's name opens an email sender in the forum that has no visible means of adding attachmen

Addendum: not to worry. File sent via alternate means.

#58 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upgrade to BL2 on my blog didn't go as well as my regular sites » 2018-09-13 18:29:24

yea I know, but I don't see a way to attach a file. Copy/paste doesn't seem to work.

I have a nice .ZIP file ready to go, can't figure out how to attach it to a forum email.

#60 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upgrade to BL2 on my blog didn't go as well as my regular sites » 2018-09-13 07:07:01

My thought exactly. I just disabled phplugins. Pretty much no change except a change in the footer, so phplugins was affecting something I'd forgotten about, Exported theme and child theme produce the same effect.

Hi Matt. Haven't touched loop.php file, didn't even know I had one. I am using a child theme, but I also tried activating some of my other themes to no avail. I am only using the phpluggins that I use on my other sites where they work perfectly and they only modify galleries. Strangely the galleries work just fine. Only thing missing is the main content and the sidebar. Most peculiar.

All upgrades to BL2 have gone well so I attacked the blog this morning. Outcome, not so good.
I can get access to BL2 admin and finally to WP_Admin after adding a rewrite role to .htaccess to take care of my custom WP_admin login URL. But while the home page appears, it is devoid of content. Have updated the theme from within BL2 admin and exported same to WP and am using child theme. Any ideas?

You know...I'll bet I looked through those settings 40 or 50 times and didn't see that. Yet, there it is, plain as day. Thanks for the bonk on the head Rod.

I'd just like it not to be there while I get the rest of the site buffed. Then I'll go back and build a proper page for it.
Regards.

By the way, the whole process of updating to Backlight2 was amazingly smooth. Nice job.

#66 Re: Backlight 2 Support » I've a tiny annoyance on all pages I can't turn off » 2018-09-09 22:13:48

Copy Top must be a required thing yes/no. When I comment all that stuff out I get this:

Something went wrong
Unexpected error: syntax error, unexpected '?>', expecting function (T_FUNCTION) in phplugins-pangolinpage.php on line 612

Please report error at http://community.theturninggate.net

when going to the page

Uh...never mind, problem has vanished????

At https://markhoffmanphotography.com, under the slideshow and above the page copy appears this:

Album Title: Home Page Slideshow
Album Description:
Number Of Photos: 12

It's on every single page. I'd really like to get rid of that but am having trouble locating where it's coming from.

Something went wrong
Missing argument 1 for PHPlugins::footer_top(), called in /home/markho6/public_html/backlight/modules/module-designer/application/helpers/APHPlugins.php on line 55 and defined in phplugins-pangolinpage.php on line 261

guess I don't quite understand the new phpplugin structure.

Find the page template that your pages are based on: Login to Backlight Admin, Designer, Templates, Page Templates, Pick the correct template, click Design, scroll down to navigator. Colors are in that section.

Apologies for forgetting to include links but it's moot now.
Hmmm... Stranger still... The page that was opening in a new window is now opening in the same window without my having done anything to change it. Must be proof that quantum physics as it relates to the behavior of electrons is a real "thing".
