I just went back to look into making the suggested changes. Horrors! My masthead is present. My menu is present. My submenus are present when floating Galleries and Services. Links to individual galleries are working Under Galleries only, as are the album set and albums. But the pages are gone from Home, About, Services, and Contact. Search works and shows each of these. But each links to a page under Galleries/Services, not under Services. When experimenting with hiding, I reset everything back to my original. What happened? Top Gallery link? Template link? I checked everything I can think of but the pages won't come back!
Perhaps the documentation page for BL2
Publisher
Settings for albums and album sets
would be helpful. But it does not exist yet!
I tried combinations of hiding the Services album set and its enclosed albums from the Galleries top level gallery in LRpub That made one small, unhelpful difference. Services still shows up when I float over Galleries. But when the albums are hidden, they still show under that Services submenu item but with an eyeball with a slash.
I guess I am ready to try the other approach; to create another publisher service in LR. I don't know how to do that and I'm not sure that will solve the problem anyway.
My goals for my website menu:
Home
About
Services
Galleries
Contact
Search
Galleries menu item will have a submenu of album sets and albums such as:
Travel
China
Mexico
Services menu item will have a submenu of PAGES with copy, images, and albums such as:
Services
Architecture
copy, image, album
Portraits
copy, image, album
I have that working BUT, when I create these albums in LRPub not only do they add to the PAGES under services, but they also add to a Services submenu item under Galleries which I do not want. Hiding the album sets and albums does not cause the Services submenu item under galleries to disappear. With the outline described above of what I hope to achieve, is there a way to do this . Has anyone else done this?
Wow! It get complicateder and conplicateder! I will begin one of these approaches tomorrow. My brain hurts too much today! Thanks for the advice. I hope one of these ways works out for me.
I don't think I made myself clear. I'll try again.
If I hide the album or album set in LRPub as you suggest, it will not be visible on either place where it now appears, those being in subfolders under Galleries and under Services. I want the album or album set to be visible ONLY under Services, but NOT under Galleries.
In my site,
http://denniskeyesphotography.com/backl … test/home/
if you float over Galleries now, you will see Services as one of the subfolders. I don't want it there but when I created the album set, Services, in LRPub, it automatically shows up under Galleries in my BL2 site. Everything in LRPub goes under Galleries in BL2. That's why I asked about possibly creating a top level gallery, "Services" which would appear in the menu with Home, About, Galleries, etc. but NOT under Galleries.
When I go to Publisher in BL2, this the only option that appears:
Top-level Galleries
Top-level Galleries are created automatically via the Lightroom Publisher module.
Below that is a menu:
Title Directory
Galleries galleries Albums Edit View
If I create a top level gallery from this menu, will it appear in LRPub on my computer? Is that a solution to my problem?
A second approach that may work is one based on your suggestion. If I create those albums and album sets in LRPub and then hide them under the features tab, will they still be visible in the list of albums available when I click insert album while creating a page? Or, will they remain hidden because I made them hidden in LRPub? The only options under features in LRPub are public, protected and private. There is no "hidden" option.
One more thought.... Is what I am trying to accomplish something that was considered and built into BL2, or is it not even possible?
This seems very complicated to me. I don't know how to proceed. I will try to be clear.
BL2 and LRPub have a Galleries top level gallery built in. When I create album sets or albums, in LRPub they all appear as a submenu under Galleries in my BL2 site. I don't want some of them to do that. I want some of them to appear only in subfolders under a menu item I created in my BL2 site called Services. The Services menu item on my site contains 9 pages, each of which may have copy, images and links. That function seems to work fine. When I design one of those pages, for example, Affordable Frames, under services, I enter copy, write Markdown to link to an image to display, and insert an album or album set. The problem arises when I create an album or album set in LRPub intended for one of the Services pages. The album set for Services appears as a submenu item in my BL2 site under Galleries and when an album is clicked in that menu set, it goes to a page with only the album and not the copy and images.
Is the solution to create a new top level gallery for services? Will it appear in LRPub in some way to distinguish it from the top level gallery, Galleries, since Galleries does not appear in LRPub and every album or album set I create goes into it and is listed under Galleries in my BL2 site?
I thought that a solution might be creating an album set, Services, in LRPub but that has led to the problem I described above. I am probably missing something very simple. Please help!!

If anyone is looking around, you may notice an album called "Home Slide Show" as a submenu item and a slide show under my galleries tab. I don't want it there. I want it only as a looping slide show on my home page. I will hope to accomplish that with the theater add on when I get to it. For now, it just serves as another example of how an album created in LRPub gets its own menu item under Galleries on my BL2 site.
Link to my old site with the home page slide show I want to duplicate:

Just host was not able to resolve this. They have escalated it and will get back to me..... maybe!
Addditional information:
When I attempted to send the test email, here is the message I got back.
Something went wrong
fsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465 (Connection timed out) in SMTP.php on line 125
Thank you. That was my impression. I will go with Theater. And yes, I figured cart and response were separate. I will eventually need both..... if anyone ever hires me to shoot anything!
What I hope to accomplish with either Galleria or Theater is to recreate the same slide show as I have on my existing site. Needs no navigation. Constant looping. Hopefully only 1 second per image. http://denniskeyesphotography.com/
It appears to me that the Theater add on will do all that Galleria will do and more. Or, is there something that Galleria can do that I'm missing? I don't think I need both. I will be needing cart and client response as I get further along. Do these all play nice together?
I am testing my contact form. I tried several times to send an email to myself at my gmail address. What am I missing? My settings are:

On my home page I have text in the copy field. I would like some of the words to be hot links to other pages. How is this done? Here is some of the text on my home page. I want the upper case words to highlight when moused over and link to the corresponding page. I would assume that there is some html I would need to insert in the text?
SERVICES include: Custom framing through AFFORDABLE FRAMES, ARTISTS PHOTO SERVICES, GIGLÉE PRINTS, PORTRAITS, "HEIRLOOM MASTERPIECES", ALTERNATIVE MEDIA, PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY and ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY.
The GALLERIES feature many of my favorites and images you can purchase as prints or digital file downloads. Just look for the cart symbol for images available for purchase.
Thank you for that. I guess building the site in a subdomain would have been a better option right from the start. This old dog still can learn new tricks. But by the time I learn them, they are already old!
I have the new site in a sub folder, not a subdomain. I don't know enough to be able to do that. If I still have a long way to go in building my site would it be wise to go to a subdomain now?
I am creating my new site inside a very old TTG site. I wanted my old site to remain visible while creating so I was advised to create my new site within the /public folder in a subfolder identified as /backlight-2-test. Will this become a big problem for me when I delete the old site and go live with the new site which will utilize the old site name?
Several questions come to mind.
When the time comes to go live with the new site should I delete everything in the public folder except backlight-2-test? Should I keep other files or folders besides /public? Should I then delete EVERYTHING in the backlight-2-test folder except /backlight, /index, and /htaccess? There are a TON of files that came from somewhere. I didn't upload them but they may have been generated by the site itself.
I am inserting a lot of single images into page copy. The code to do that has the path to the images. I placed the images in the /custom folder in a subfolder I created called /img. When I go live, will I need to go back into each page copy and change the path for each image? Seems like a lot of work which I could avoid by killing my old site now and making this one live even though it is far from finished. Am I thinking straight? Any advice to make my future a little easier?
While attempting to get a screenshot on line, I did some searching inside my ftp folders and found that the img folder I created was misplaced . I moved it and refreshed. Got it! I may tune it up a bit, but this is what I had in mind. I will be peppering image throughout henceforth! Thanks for your help! Like it?

I would be happy to post a screen shot. How can I post it in this forum?
Correction: The images are in:
backlight/custom/img
Something confusing going on here. To recap: I am building this site in a folder within my old site so I don't lose it while under construction. I created a folder I named /backlight-2-test and put in in my public folder of my original site and got the installation done. I was able to see the folder hierarchy in my ftp client as I proceeded. Everything I have done (with much trial and error as I climb the learning curve) has eventually worked. To begin this phase of adding images to a copy field, I uploaded my images to a folder I created named /img within the /custom folder as I was directed. Then I tried putting the markdown, or html, (I don't really know what that is) in my copy field. You saw the result. I will change the text as you described and hope that will solve the problem. I looked at the ftp client again to see where my images are. I do not even see the /backlight-2-test folder with my new site in it. The images are in /backlight/custom. I don't know how they got there or where the other folders are. But, but my old site and my new site are still working! When I try this new text, should I just specify /backlight/custom, rather than /backlight-2-test/backlight/custom?
I prepared the code in text edit and copy/pasted it in. I did add a carriage return after my text. I have no experience with html or markdown text. I want to do this with multiple pages.
Once I get the first one to work, I will be able to do the rest. Here is a link to the page. Maybe you will immediately see the error. The page is a submenu under services/portraits

Rod sent me to a page with directions how to add an image to the copy section on a page. It involves using html to direct the browser to the image. I uploaded an image via ftp to a folder I created and named img within my custom folder. Since I am building this site within a test folder (backlight-2-test) in my old site, I used the pathname to that folder in the suggested html string. I added that html at the end of the text already entered. It looks something like this.
Lorem ipsum nunc.
<img src=“/backlight-2-test/backlight/custom/img/portrait-pricing-bl2.jpg” width=“800” class=“aligncenter” alt=“If image does not display, contact Dennis Keyes for information”>
When I save the copy and refresh my site, the image does not appear. Instead the html text that I entered appears exactly as above. Am I missing something?
I think I have the basics. I want to put text and single images on my new site. Something like this Portraits page which is on my old site:
http://denniskeyesphotography.com/portraits.html
For now, my new site Portraits page looks like this:
http://denniskeyesphotography.com/backl … portraits/
Do I need something beyond just BL2 and Publisher? Will one of the add ons enable me to do this?
Cleared template cache. Success. Thanks!
I have corrected my issue with galleries... almost! I deleted the galleries page I created, accessed galleries through publisher and edited my text. I also deleted two test albums I had created when setting up my individual gallery albums within Lightroom as I coul find no way to do it in Backlight. The albums disappeared but the flyout menu for galleries still lists them. How do I get rid of those submenu items?
