Quick answer :-)
Hello,
Here is my CE4 website CyRichard.com
Before getting to work with backlight, I'd like to know if :
Will Backlight 1.1.1 be able to recreate this design or I should wait backlight 1.2. (home page was changed to top level galleries and I used modified css for the top level index.
Thanks
Thanks Matt,
there's a lot to test... any suggestions or popular choices for something close to markdownpad2?
markdownpad 2 for windows does not work with windows 10 :-(
any suggestions?
OK then.
thanks again
thanks a lot Rod for your quick answer.
A bit of precision for publisher.
I have the publisher plugin for ce4 named CE4-Publisher.lrplugin
I named backlight publisher TTG-Publisher.lrplugin and installed it with plugin manager.
Now, the new publisher is installed and running and the CE4 is showed but disabled.
should I have used the same name or it's OK like that?
thanks again.
Hello,
I'm preparing to migrate my CE4 site and I want to make sure how to first upgrade publisher 3.1.1.
Do I upgrade like normal with CE4 and copy it after into backlight folder and it will be compatible with both CE4 and backlight?
So as usual, I need to do this first in my ce4 ?
To update to Publisher x.x.x:
Replace the ttg-be/publisher/application directory
Log in as admin to ttg-be/publisher/admin
Replace the CE4-Publisher.lrplugin, and restart Lightroom
And, except for migrating albums, I can't find a complete guide to migrate from CE4 pages to Backlight. Or best practice to do it?
testing it with a subdomain or subdirectory?
thanks in advance
The problem is solved.
Thanks Ben.
It was a file with a copyright sign in the file name inside the "custom_thumbnails" folder.
So, as often said. Never put special characters in file name ;-)
Hello,
I'm trying to setup a subdomain (ce4test.cyrichard.com) under the active cyrichard.com.
When I modify an album or an album set in the publisher instance of the subdomain, I always get the same "internal error". No problem if I do the same with the domain.
Note that publisher seems to work even with this error except for the ability to choose a thumbnail (as I can see by now).
here is the error
Thanks
OK, I found css file. There was 2 css files and Jim did a "php if sentence" to chose between 2 different styles of auto-index.
I would also need to do a "if sentence" to only apply my modified index to a sub-index and let the main gallery intact.
could you tell me how to do that with php? probably base on a folder name?
thanks in advance.
Michel,
Also interested how you did it as I struggle for doing a portrait ratio auto-index as I did with CE3 http://cyrichard.com/galleries/2peintures/ (I should have modified some icons but I like the general aspect).
A portrait ratio really does't work well with CE4. By the way, any reasons having only 4 icons wide?
I also vote for the return of the Masonry layout ;-)
Michel,
