Ben

I have cleaned up those extra album sets and moved the two albums over, and cleaned up Publisher settings.
Authentication should now work with the API Key ending in 8.  Restart LR for this API Key to work.

Is there anything else amiss?

Yes, it is frustrating.

I'm looking into these for you.  Can you do the following.  In Lightroom, visit File > Plug-In Extras > Output  Publisher Structure and for each of the listed items, including CE3 and CE4 press OK.  A chunk of text will be visible in the dialogue box.  If it's all visible without going off the edge of the page, copy-and-paste it into an email preceded by the name of the service (e.g. CE3).
If it's not all visible then either email me the full file called ttg.log in your PC's Documents directory, or open it up and copy in the last few lines that capture all of the outputs from the above operation, and send it by email.

That information tells me which albums and sets exist in your LR plugin.

In general, my suggested strategy to clean this up:

1. If possible within LR, do so (e.g. if an empty album is there that you want to remove, do it there)

2. If that's not possible, do so in the Publisher section of Backlight admin.  The only restriction is that you can't move LR-created albums within the the Backlight admin.  You can delete Albums and Album Sets in the Backlight admin regardless of whether they were created in LR or Backlight admin.  As above, if the latter then try deleting in LR first.

The 2015-2016 albums are spread out over two sets. I need to get the part 2 albums into the part 1 set. Can't just delete one of them.

Sure.  Do they appear as two sets in LR?  Then move albums over.  I can move them over from the second set if you're not able to in LR.  Let me know.

2018-2019 events was missing because it still had a password associated from CE4.  I've fixed this.

2015/2016 is listed twice because there are two Album Sets with the same name:
http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/backlight/pub … lbum/7997/
http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/backlight/pub … bum/30655/

I suggest you clean up the latter within LR if possible, or if not, then within the Backlight Publisher admin.

For the repeated albums, visit http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/backlight/pub … _albums/1/ and delete as needed.  That can be done by clicking on the album name followed by Delete Album.

Galleries is the master Album Set that includes the set of Albums and Album Sets at the top level.  It's just there so that you can insert that in a page if you want to.

I don't see a caption and that image is in a template that I never created.

The key word in my comment was *database*.  I can see that it has been saved.  Why it is not showing is yet to be determined.

I have absolutely no idea  how this particular set got an access code and what that code might be. Another strange part of this migration.

Edit the album set either in LR or Backlight and change the privacy to 'Public' under Features.

3. As an example, I can see that there is a caption in the database for this photo. http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/galleries/03_ … single.php
I’ll look further into it

#434 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Something went wrong after migration » 2019-05-13 07:46:43

2. Is the structure you’re seeing in LR the same as what can be seen here? http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/backlight/pub … _albums/1/
If so, try dragging Albums them to the right Album Set within LR

#435 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Something went wrong after migration » 2019-05-13 07:41:53

Ben

Looking at this one at a time.
1. The menu entry is incorrect and points to 2006/2007 menus. There is a page at http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/galleries/028_2018-events/ but it has an Access Code so I can’t see whether it shows what it’s meant to.

#436 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Something went wrong after migration » 2019-05-12 12:29:14

Ben

Specifics, please.  Which albums?  Which captions, where?

#437 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Something went wrong after migration » 2019-05-12 11:54:46

Ben

Fixed.  You needed to assign new templates, since the CE4 designs don't exist in BL2.  Everything working?

#438 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Something went wrong after migration » 2019-05-12 10:24:27

Ben

For some reason the database upgrade hadn't been performed.  I've upgraded it manually.  The next step to complete the upgrade is to log in as Backlight Admin and click on the link "Update Album Files" on the main page.
I can't perform that because I do not have admin access.

#439 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Something went wrong after migration » 2019-05-12 10:04:51

Ben

I've logged in.  I need *admin* access, not *guest* access.

Okay, hard to read with a run of text mixed together

As Rod suggested, I need a Backlight admin login

Where can I see the error?  Steps to reproduce it.

There's another error at http://lesmarmitonsnj.com/galleries/028_2018-events/
Download the latest CE4 update and replace this file on your server:

ttg-be/framework/helpers/SimpleHTMLTag.php

#444 Re: PHPlugins (CE4) » lastet PHP Version » 2019-05-07 19:44:33

I've just had a look.  I can't help with item 1. without FTP access.  To be honest, with a mix of CE3 and CE4 and six year old code, my ability to help will be limited.

For item 2, can you try the following:

Edit the file publisher/api/lib/markdown.php and change line 191 from this:

function Markdown_Parser() {

To this:

function __construct() {

#445 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upload works, but images do not show in album » 2019-05-07 19:31:45

Please check your email.  Rod, FYI, it looks like missing Exif support.  Of course showing green ticks on failed uploads isn't helpful.

#446 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upgrade to Backlight2 from Backlight1 Issue - Constant Failure » 2019-05-07 14:17:20

Ben

Hi Jeff, this might be caused by trying to upgrade from an early iteration of Backlight 1. Can you provide me with FTP access via email so that I can look into this?

#447 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Upload works, but images do not show in album » 2019-05-06 07:45:15

Ben

I’ll try to have a look I’m the next day or two.

#448 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Contact Form eMail fails » 2019-05-02 07:19:09

Ben

Your server isn’t able to make calls out to ports 25 or 3535. Your host may be able to help, but it’s likely to be against their policy to connect to external SMTP servers. The other option is to try 'mail' instead of 'smtp'.

#449 Re: Backlight Support » Unable to load cart » 2019-05-01 07:10:43

Ben

Hi Nico, I’m glad that solved it for you.

#450 Re: Backlight Support » Unable to load cart » 2019-04-30 19:29:24

Ben

Hi Nico,  I've found the problem.  Pages with embedded albums aren't including the album-specific pricing scheme name, which means that they default to the 'default' pricing scheme.

I've put in a silent update for the Pangolin Album.  Are you running the latest version of Backlight 1? (version 1.2.3).
If so, download the latest Backlight + Pages zip file (it should be called Backlight-Pages-123-Release7) and copy this single file from the extracted zip file into the respective directory on your server:

backlight/modules/pangolin-page/fragments/config-cart.php

You'll then need to clear your template cache (found under the Designer menu in the Backlight admin).

Can you let us know if that solves it for you?

Note I'll need to make a similar fix for Backlight 1's Standard album, and both the Standard and Pangolin albums for Backlight 2.
