The visible bit, being the thing that's not marked as "hidden". And just for good measure, let's not use a table, because eeewww.

Replace:

<table>
<tr><td>Enter Amount here</td></tr><tr><td><input type="text" name="amount" maxlength="8
"></td></tr>
</table>

With:

<div style="max-width: 250px; margin: 0;">
<p>Enter Amount here<br />
<input type="text" name="amount" maxlength="8" />
</p>
</div>

Put it in a container.

<div style="max-width: 250px; margin: 0;">
<!-- payment box -->
</div>

The only errors that I see logged on the promo site are from the social networking Share buttons, which sadly is normal. Share buttons are typically loaded with crap. Blame Facebook.

#3279 Re: General » Font Awesome » 2013-03-05 14:04:03

What version of Firefox are you running? Totally fine when I visit CE3 pages in Firefox.

#3281 Re: General » CE2 - CE3 » 2013-03-04 18:07:24

They will be active at least until the new year. The cart should be out well before then, barring catastrophe.

#3282 Re: General » CE2 - CE3 » 2013-03-04 16:29:50

Discounts may be applied on the next page after the address. $10 off Gallery and Pages, $5 off Auto Index.

#3283 Re: General » CE2 - CE3 » 2013-03-04 02:25:32

Yes. Covered on the blog.

#3284 Re: General » Nav Bar in Horizon » 2013-03-02 14:06:20

Scrollbars are browser dependent. You can thank Apple for the magic, disappearing scrollbar. It's lovely to look at, but a usability nightmare.

#3285 Re: General » Pre Purchase Questions » 2013-02-28 17:00:24

1. If you're using the Publisher plugin, then Develop or Metadata changes should flag an image to be re-published. You will need to manually press the "Publish" button at some point to push those changes to the server.

2. "Right-click protection" is pure bullshit. You can waste your own time with it if you want to, but I won't waste any more of my own on it. And no, I'm not the only one who thinks so, in case you wanted a second opinion.

3. You may optionally allow downloads of files from any gallery. If you're looking to sell downloads, our system does not yet support it, but it's something we hope to work into the next major version of our shopping cart planned for release later in the year.

4. No trial versions. It's impossible to release restricted versions of our plugins that would give a fair impression, while simultaneously not giving the whole thing away for free.

5. Shopping cart pricing options are very flexible.

#3286 Re: General » CE2>CE3 upgrade: settings » 2013-02-27 17:49:33

Mostly the same as the current versions, with discounts upgrading from CE2-to-CE3.

#3287 Re: General » CE2>CE3 upgrade: settings » 2013-02-27 14:04:40

You may have both CE2 and CE3 installed simultaneously in Lightroom, and they will work well enough together online, aside from design disparity. Both CE2 and CE3 offer full inter-compatibility via the auto index, etc.

CE2 Cart is wholly incompatible with CE3, though. You can use CE2 galleries and cart with CE3 stuff, but the cart listening will not work on the CE3 pages, etc.

#3288 Re: General » CE2>CE3 upgrade: settings » 2013-02-26 17:54:47

Users will need to begin anew. To make the many gains in CE3, such as the responsive design, it really was necessary to break completely from the CE2 framework at source level. In fact, ground-zero for CE3 is a significant departure in design compared to CE2. The design seen in the image in this post is the default design for CE3. Quite a departure from the mid-grey "Asphalt" design of CE2. This is all in service to driving the point that CE3 is something different, and not just "the same thing, plus another one".

That said, if you're already using the publisher, then it should be much easier to migrate your galleries to CE3 by assigning your galleries to use a new template.

And if you haven't yet upgraded to using the publisher yet, then CE3 is an excellent opportunity to do so.

Good call. Put your foot down. ;-)

#3290 Re: Announcements & Information » Language functionality? » 2013-02-17 13:21:44

Interesting find. When I have time to spend on such things, I may need to try working through this.

I think it should be much easier to do language sessions on content in "the block", but not sure how reasonable it would be to localize image captions and other incidental content.

#3291 Re: Announcements & Information » Language functionality? » 2013-02-16 20:56:01

With a static system such as our's, the only way to create a dual language site would be to create the site twice -- once in each language -- then store each site in a separate folder or subdomain. Our products are not designed for dynamic language switching.

#3292 Re: General » jQuery image gallery » 2013-02-12 03:03:34

Right now, the Highslide gallery is a good one. If you're keen to use something that's not Flash but which has more a Flash-like look, though, wander on over to juicebox.net and check their thing out.

#3293 Re: General » jQuery image gallery » 2013-02-12 01:47:46

Use TTG CE2 Highslide Gallery.

#3294 Re: General » jQuery image gallery » 2013-02-12 01:46:47

Highslide does NOT use Flash. And the CE2 version has a built-in mobile gallery.

#3295 Re: General » Lightroom Gallery that is SEO friendly? » 2013-02-11 23:36:44

You're in the right place. All of our galleries are designed to be SEO friendly. Just pick whichever you like, and consult the documentation. We have an article about ways you can utilize the galleries for improved SEO: http://wiki.theturninggate.net/doku.php … zation_seo

#3297 Re: General » When adding new photos to an already published to web site gallery » 2013-02-08 14:20:55

As Rod says, this is the type of situation that TTG CE2 Publisher exists to solve. If you're looking at having to make a big export to replace existing galleries, then it's probably a good time to go ahead and get setup with the Publisher, to make it the last time you ever have to replace your galleries in full.

#3298 Re: General » Greetings » 2013-02-06 14:17:26

There are no recurring fees, if that's what you mean.

#3299 Re: General » Help please with what I need » 2013-02-04 02:19:22

You can get the cart whenever you like, but cannot retroactively add cart support to existing galleries. Galleries need to be setup for cart support at time of creation.

Using the auto index is easy if you want it. If you can copy one folder into another folder, then it's as easy as that.

A lot of the confusion you might see here on the forum is users wrestling with some of the optional advanced features. You can very easily setup an effective site or collection of galleries without having to get into any of that.

#3300 Re: General » Help please with what I need » 2013-02-04 02:10:01

Because I hate making videos, and because it takes time away from development, which I'm very busy with at the moment. And despite the learning curve, I can say with confidence that our users are very happy with the plugins, the websites they build with them, and the Lightroom-to-Web workflow the plugins allow them.
