strripos is found in PHP version 5. It looks like you're running version 4, which is not supported.
Who are you hosting with? You'll need to find out how to change from PHP 4 to PHP 5. This may be possible from your control panel, otherwise ask your hosting support.
This isn't an example of XSS. Somebody has been able to make changes to the PHP files in your hosting account.
The most common way this is done is by exploiting vulnerabilities in Wordpress, either in an installation in your own account, or on another account hosted on the same server. Whatever the case, this is a serious breach of security. I would pursue GoDaddy further on this, as it should be of considerable concern to GoDaddy and their customers (yourself!).
My understanding is that Scott doesn't see much value in the web module, and dismisses it, and by association photographers that use it. As such I would take his opinion on the current state and future of the web module with a huge grain of salt.
In my opinion Scott's dismissal on a feature that is highly used and valued by photographers reflects badly on him as an informed educator.
