#1 Re: CE4 Auto Index » Refinements to AutoIndex Text Only plugin request » 2014-09-27 13:04:46

Thanks Matthew.  Works like a charm!  That's a good testament to the excellent product design!

Cheers!

In the autoindex template, the file style-component contains the following:

.album-overlay {
    background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 241, 241, 241, 0 ),
        rgba( 241, 241, 241, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 241, 241, 241, 0 ),
        rgba( 241, 241, 241, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: -o-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 241, 241, 241, 0 ),
        rgba( 241, 241, 241, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: -ms-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 241, 241, 241, 0 ),
        rgba( 241, 241, 241, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: linear-gradient(135deg,
        rgba( 241, 241, 241, 0 ), rgba( 241, 241, 241, 1 ) 85%);
    }

.album-mantle:hover .album-overlay {
    background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 221, 221, 221, 0 ),
        rgba( 221, 221, 221, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 221, 221, 221, 0 ),
        rgba( 221, 221, 221, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: -o-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 221, 221, 221, 0 ),
        rgba( 221, 221, 221, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: -ms-linear-gradient( 135deg, rgba( 221, 221, 221, 0 ),
        rgba( 221, 221, 221, 1 ) 85%);
    background-image: linear-gradient(135deg,
        rgba( 221, 221, 221, 0 ), rgba( 221, 221, 221, 1 ) 85%);

Is this the CSS that I need to change?  Can you tell me what parameter I need to change so that the text does not fade at the bottom?

Thanks!!

#3 CE4 Cart » No jpg extension on downloaded photos ... Again » 2014-09-22 09:44:33

I updated to the latest CE4 cart (305).
When I upload a purchased photo through the cart admin the file that gets downloaded to the client is missing the jpeg file extension.
This same type of problem happened a couple of versions ago too. sad

I just checked and it does work when the photo to be downloaded was pre-published.  If I upload the photo after it has been ordered, that is when the problem happens.

#4 CE4 Gallery » First/Last image Navigation Doesnt seem to work » 2014-09-21 14:45:11

For my gallery, I am using CE4 standard grid with Magnific Popup for both desktop and mobile.  I have set the First/Last image navigation to "jumps to next/previous page".   But from my iphone and from my desktop PC (IE11) when I get to the last photo of a page and then go to the next photo, it always goes back to the grid thumbnail view and back to page 1 (even if I'm on page 2 of 4 pages).  I want it to go to page 3 automatically and bring up the next image.  Or at the very least stay on the same page (page 2).  It always goes back to page 1 no matter what page I'm on.  Is this a bug or am I interpreting this incorrectly?

For example see ... http://danbiephotography.com/galleries/ … /index.php

Thanks!!

#5 CE4 Pages » Turn off Masthead link to home page? » 2014-09-09 14:00:38

Can I turn off the linking behavior of my graphic masthead so it does not send the visitor back to the home page?  The navigation bar link works fine for this and I find the masthead is too easy to accidently press sometimes.  It was a nice idea, but I would rather not send the visitor back to the home page this way.

I have a graphic identity plate with the role set to banner.

Thanks!

#6 CE4 Auto Index » Refinements to AutoIndex Text Only plugin request » 2014-09-09 13:31:21

I am using autoindex text-only in order to generate an alphabetically ordered list of galleries.  The autoindex will only contain the name of a person or event in the title field.  The description field will be empty and of course no thumbnail.  Because I can have upwards of 30 galleries indexed, I don't want each listing to take up a lot of real-estate. Unfortunately, the plugin will not allow me to make the album height smaller than 100.  I would like to make the height about 40 or 50.  I would also like to turn off the text fading style because there will not be a description.  Of course, I would like the title to be centered in the album if possible.
Is there a file that I can edit to manually set the album height smaller than 100 and also turn off the fade styling?
Can this option be added to a future autoindex update?

#7 CE4 Cart » Downloaded files missing jpg file extension » 2014-09-07 16:52:29

I've been slowly wading through creating a new website with CE4 and am quite excited about the automated file downloads.  I just got to the point of checking it out.  It works great except the downloaded file is missing the jpg extension and so Windows does not know what to do with it.  I manually add the file extension and the jpeg photo shows up just fine.  Obviously I can't ask my customers to do that.  I hope it's a minor glitch, but I repeated the order with a different photo and got the same thing again.  Here is the download link:

If you want to recreate the event, please go to www.DanbiePhotography.com  and search for HD13.  Put one of the photos in the cart and select "Standard Digital Photos by Download".  I added coupon "HolyCow33" that you can use to zero the balance.

#8 Re: CE4 Publisher » Using Search with Lightrooom Keywords » 2014-09-04 15:24:52

Hi Rod,

Thanks for your offer to help.  But I went ahead and deleted the galleries and then reloaded them from Publisher using a more current gallery template I created.  Now it seems to work.  I was getting a little worried that maybe keywords were not in-scope.

I really would like to see more documentation and examples, however, on how to set up a gallery template to use the Metadata 1 and Metadata 2 information and match these with the output settings.  For example, if I use {dimensions} for metadata, then the lightroom preview looks correct, but the output gallery shows {dimension} instead of the actual value.  On the otherhand, if I use {CroppedWidth}, then it works on the output, but not in the lightroom preview.  But I guess that's another topic.

I also find it a bit confusing to have the same fields (Title, Caption, Metadata 1, etc) in both the Image info and the Publisher setup section.  How are these meant to work and exactly what are each of these doing?

Cheers!

A question about the search capability:
I am using Pages CE4, AutoIndex CE4, Cart CE4, and Publisher (all the latest versions). I have just set up my website and have it about 90% done (I don't have the cart and email settings added yet).

I use keywords all of the time for my photos and I was hoping that I could search the website to find photos based on Lightrooms keywords.  But this doesn't seem to work.  I can successfully match text from the filename or get hits on galleries when I use a word from the descriptions - but no hits on keywords.
I always selected "all Metadata" when presented the chance in the galleries and publisher.  Have I set something up wrong or is searching keywords not possible?
