Beautiful design in your website.  I have a question for you.  I'm slowly building up my website in Backlight and want to add a photograph in the Palet01 space of my About page ( http://studiostreibel.com/about/ ).  How did you get a photograph onto the left column of your About page for each person?

#3 Re: General » Purchasing Backlight without setting up a PayPal Account? » 2016-05-06 01:12:10

Thanks for the quick reply.  Backlight Checkout is still asking for a "PayPal Guest Checkout" that includes setting up a PayPal account and agreeing to all of their terms (see below).  There's got to be some other way to use my MasterCard without setting up a PayPal account.  I'll wait until you look into some of the other ways to purchase from your shop that you mentioned.

By the way, I love your products and have been using them right from the beginning (http://www.streibelarts.com).  Backlight looks like a brilliant evolutionary product and I look forward to using it in my work.

Is there a way to purchase Backlight with a credit card without having to set up a PayPal account?  I thought this used to be possible even though PayPal processed the transaction.  Thanks.

Rod:
Thanks for the feedback. I entered the text 'Click any thumbnail image of this Album to see a Slide Show' in the Content/Description tab of the Color Palette panel within the CE4 Gallery plug-in.  This text does show up in LR while developing it in the Web module.  This text does not show up on the final website.  I put together a bare minimum example of this on the following web URL:  http://michaeljohnstreibelphotography.c … /index.php

I wonder if I'm not giving enough Top/Bottom margins, borders, or padding to either the 'Block' or the 'Grid'?  The Content/Description 'Block' has the following pixel dimensions (from Margin top to Border Right): 0,8,  20,0,4,4,  0,0,0,0.  The Gallery/Media Area 'Grid' has 20,8,  0,0,4,4  0,0,0,0.  I've tried many variations of these to see what works if this is actually the solution.

Ben:
Thanks.  That was it.  The Enable Feedback setting made the entire CRG options visible on each thumbnail as well as in the black bar on top of the Album's page.  The solution to the first problem (the text content of the 'Block' not appearing above the sequence of Album thumbnails) will probably be solved by increasing the upper boundary of the 'Grid' so that it gives more space for the 'Block' text to appear.  I'll keep trial-and-error experimenting until this content appears (the text is something like 'Click on any image in this Album to see a slide show').  Right now this problem exists on both a Gallery Album page and a CRG Album page.

I am running the latest CE4 plug-ins in Lightroom (5.7.1) on two Macs (OSX10.7.5 and 10.10.2) and testing out their results on a Localhost (MAMP Pro3.1) on each machine.  I have two difficulties with the Gallery and Client Response Gallery when using the Publish  plug-in (these difficulties also show up when I Export the results of these two directly into the Galleries folders) that I simply cannot get to work no matter how much I use trial-and-error methods with the settings within these two plug-ins in LR.  Both CE4 plug-ins work (either through Publisher or directly to Galleries) in so far as I get Albums under the Galleries tab of my Localhost website but the "Grid" media content seems to overwrite the "Block" text content  during the Magnific Popup slide show so that no text shows up.

In the case of my CRG difficulty, the Published result (or Exported result) only looks like a Gallery and not a CRG Gallery (i.e., no response icons on the image thumbnails and no black bar on the top of the web page with email and other options).  The response icons and black bar options do show up inside of LR during development in the LR>Web>CE4ClientResponseGallery work area.

Not sure how to proceed.  Any suggestions would be welcome.
