Okay thanks,
I'm going to create the rest of my galleries and upload them before I talk to the help people at Rogers Yahoo Small Business...
They are running a Unix system, with Apache Servers and PHP 5.3.6.
In the event that they can't help me with the problem are there any web hosting companies that you would recommend that are absolutely compatible with the Turning Gate Products.
These products are perfect for my site needs and if I have to switch companies... so be it.
Thanx...
that's the ticket...
I cannot believe the service that comes with The Turning Gate!
I've tried that a few times but I just keep getting the code showing up in the body of my text.
Here is what I want it to look like:
Gallery on the Lake
31 Gallery on the Lake Road
P.O. Box 130
Buckhorn, Ontario, Canada, K0L 1J0
www.galleryonthelake.com
e-mail: info@galleryonthelake.com
Tel: 1- 888 - 242 - 7475
with "www.galleryonthelake.com"
as the link to a new page
I have tried many variations of trying to insert the code to no avail
here is what my markdown/code looks like:
##Gallery on the Lake

` <p ><a href="http://www.galleryonthelake.com/" target="_blank">www.galleryonthelake.com</a><br />`

Can you show me specifically what it should like?
It struck me while walking the dog that that is probably what you meant.
it is
I have changed the hyperlink labels in the navigation bar to better suit my site. As a fine artist ( painter ) "Galleries" pretty much always means the galleries that carry your work... so I have changed the hyperlink label to the galleries page to "Artwork ".
It didn't seem to cause any problems with the navigation before before I added a gallery to the site.
sorry,
I'm not sure what that means?
kind of new to this stuff
I have a number of hyperlinks that I want to go to urls that are outside of my website. But I do not want to take people out of my site. I want the hyperlink to to open in its own new or blank page.
So far I have been unable to figure this out.
there does not seem to be any way to specify this in the Markdown Syntax Documentation ... and I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out where and how to insert the
target="_blank"
code.
So far the "target="_blank"" just keeps showing up in the body of my text when viewed in the browser.
I have just uploaded my new TTG Web Site and then uploaded my 1st gallery.
my gallery is named in the proper convention ie: "paper-giclee-gallery"
I uploaded it to the galleries folder and when I visit my site and click on the galleries page
it initially shows the thumbnail and I can click on it to get to my highslide gallery...
but as I navigate around my site and come back to that page... occasionally I get the
? icon
instead of the thumbnail for the gallery... and when I click on the icon I get a
blank page with a
"401 file not found"
message in it.
I have tried going back to the page from all my other pages and there appears to be no rhyme nor reason as when it will do this. ie: sometimes when navigating back from the "contact" page I will get the proper thumbnail and it will link to the gallery other times it will give me the
? icon
any suggestions?
