Hello,
I'am thinking about to buy the Wordpress Addon to use some PlugIns in Wordpress like a consent tool etc.
Does the Backlight Theme behave like any other theme, so I can use PlugIns like I did with other themes?
Thanks
Andreas
Hi,
my english is not so good, but I thinks this site give you some information. The main point is the verdict of oct 1. 2019, which is on the site.

Here is one of the most popular Consent Tool for wordpress. It should only show the opt in is necessary
Hi Matt,
I think I'am familiar with this topic. An opt out isn't enough since last year. For Google Analytics, Social PlugIns an all these things you must have an opt in in Europe.
Off course analytics is important for me, this is the reason why I ask for this
Hi Matt,
thanks, but I think this doesn't help european customers. I will deactivate or not start tracking in Backlight, because I think this consent solutions unfortunately doesn't fit to current european law.
Thanks
Andreas
Hi Matt,
thanks for you fast reply.
What should happen, when I click on opt out?. My expectation is, that the cookie banner close and the tracking stop or better not start.
My banner doesn't dissapear and the tracking not stop. I can only close the banner when I accept tracking .Where is my mistake?
Thanks
Andreas
Hello,
thanks for Backlight3!
I have some questions about the GDPR Notice and Acceptance Notice.
The GA tracking start, before the user accept tracking. Can I change this, this does not coincide with european law.
When I check opt out from Google Analytics nothing change. The banner is still there and the tracking is still there. How can I fix this?
Thanks
Andreas
Hello,
I don‘t know how complex this feature is for programming, but I think it would be a good feature.
I think most Print Services show the cut of an image with a frame, when the user choose another proportion for print.
For example the photo is 3:2 an the user choose a square print format, so parts of the images are cut.
Hope you understand what I mean.
Is this a possible feature in future releases?
Andreas
A web view of the client's selections would be of minimal value, if any at all. Your DAM software is where you'll actually work with the images they've selected, and so that's the place to look at them. This is what makes the comma-separated file lists so valuable for each piece of feedback.
I like the option that all persons who have access with a password to a gallery can vote or mark photos. This is not instead of choosing pictures as photographer for Lightroom.
Client Response is already great, but maybe you take a look at Picdrop.de/web/en/, which is a popular service and I think a view features would useful in Client Response.
@rod
Thanks, I will test it.
you are correct.
After receiving the emails, you can copy the filenames into a Lightroom search (or whatever digital asset manager you are using) to see the images chosen.
Moreover, the email you receive contains links to the images.
Thanks Rod. Yes, I know this way. I think the feature I describe make the client response gallery more flexible. You can than use the gallery to choose photos in a team etc.
Hello,
I think it's not possible to see which photos a client has choose, vote or comment without sending it via email?
Wouldn't this function be a good feature, that thje admin can see all this in the gallery? Until I buy Backlight 2 I use a client response service, where cleints can mark photos with different colors and when the admin open the gallery he can see all marks from the client, can filter the photos and export the names to Lightroom etc.
Greetings
Andreas
