Thanks Rod/Matthew - I found http://theturninggate.net/galleries/01- … ll-screen/ and it's been running for 12+ hours and keeps displaying, so that's good.
Well, I guess I have some more digging to do here to learn about all this - thanks for the quick answers, this might be a solution for me ;-)
Is there any combination of Backlight/TTG solutions that would allow me to fashion a hands off slideshow that runs endlessly?
My application is for my parents and my siblings/self...
At the moment the best solution for my parents has been a Windows 10 screensaver, which ironically does a lot. Runs all day long, zero interaction, keeps working without interaction and they love it. But it's largely a manual kind of setup mostly disconnected from my Lightroom catalog.
I envision this would be similar to a digital gallery in a museum, with a display monitor + media player, where the staff wouldn't want/need to touch anything, but during open hours the screen would be on and cycle through a variety of albums over the course of weeks (16 hrs daily @ 10 seconds per photo is about 6K photos per day). Would be even better if the automatic slideshow could be preempted by interacting with a menu, but then after some time of inactivity simply restart.
