Thank you Rod, I had tested with a smaller album of 24 images, it seems as soon as I choose rename the error occurs like you've stated. I guess I was just being lazy not re-naming prior to uploading ;-)
Thanks again, Kim.
Thinking about it, there is one additional change, I have asked the plugin to rename my images after upload, will try removing this option and see if it helps. Kim.

Since updating to v1.2.3 release 4 I am experiencing album upload issues / pages only displays thumbnails / the same large image regardless of the thumbnail click on (see example below)
http://www.fletchg.com/photos/galleries/950/
I have cleared cache, made new LR albums / galleries, re-published, given different slugs etc... but nothing helps.
Is it something I've done wrong? Is it a bug? The only thing I have changed in LR CC Classic settings is enabling an 11 second delay to prevent incorrect Denial-of-Service blocking.
Any advice is greatly appreciated, Kim.
I know it is a little quirky, but sometimes I start editing a photo set in LR, but then handover to a second photographer to finish. As we both have same photos, named the same, all I have to do is email him is the tiny .lrcat file, then once he's done he pings me it back for publishings.
I do have to create a new publisher instance for every catalogue, however it literally takes 10 seconds so I'm OK with that. I learnt the hard way on day one of using backlight re: unique names but I have a format now and again literally takes 10-15 seconds to get the gallery / album created, before hitting the publish button ;-)
Regards, Kim.
Hi, thanks for that. Editing the order in LR is problematic as I have a separate catalogue for every album, this way I can dump most catalogues onto a USB stick and edit on the fly (say if I'm on my laptop / offline) rather than having one huge catalogue that if ever becomes corrupt means every album is lost (although I do always keep backups).
I discussed this way of cataloguing with a guest speaker from Adobe a few years ago, who said it wasn't the way he did it, but it was personal preference, as he presented a catalogue of 130,000+ photos off a USB HDD !
Anyhow, I've edited in the backlight 'Top Level Galleries Page' and numbered the slugs (knew I had seen it somewhere!)
Many Many thanks again, Kim.
I can only see an option for photo order, not album order ( see attachment at www.fletchg.com/backlight_album_order.jpg )
I am ideally wanting the albums I upload to be in Chronological order, not in order of which ever album was uploaded first to last
http://www.fletchg.com/photos/ You'll see here the photos jump from 2016, to 2013, to 2013, to 2016, to 2012 etc..
Am I again missing something?
Thanks, Kim.
Can anyone point me to the Autoindex file?
Either that or can anyone help with ordering albums in the gallery sets?
Over the last week I've been designing / uploading albums and the gallery sets page is all over the place with a total disregard for any sort of logical / chronological order! I'm sure I saw a setting somewhere, but however hard I try I cannot find it again.
Any help appreciated.
On a separate note just wanted to say ...
Like everyone else I've been playing with Backlight+Pages since release and won't deny it's pure brilliance / worth every penny.
For those who are hesitant to upgrade from CE2, CE3, CE4 etc.. there's nothing to worry about. After the initial installation and tweaking of visuals, boom its so much quicker and easier to use than the sluggish old LR web module.
Sure the are a few niggles but for version 1.0.0 you've got it pretty much nailed guys and I can't wait for it to grow with future updates.
Kim.
Hi Matthew / Rod.
I'm using backlight and pages, but this thread seems relevant so didn't want to open a new one. I had previously read your interesting article on retina images, however still decided to use the increased resolution on my static HTML pages, using the @2x.jpg / @2x.png etc.. rule in CSS.
In backlight I seem to be having issues though. On the home page the double resolution image displays just fine, however on gallery pages I just get the alternate image tag and no image is displayed. I have set the option to "enable retina on mobile" within backlight settings, not sure if this is an issue, however the problem occurs across browsers / devices, whether that be iphone, iPad, or laptop / desktop PC (firefox and chrome) so not sure what is causing the issue?
Any ideas?
Kim.
** Update ** If I use an image named the same as the logo, but with the @2x on the end then not images load on a devices running iOS, not even thumbnails show, therefore I have deleted the @2x file for the moment
Just messing with personal pages at present until I'm happy to publish commercially, however you can find the examples at ...
Yes I am kmlucy and thanks for the advice.
I am on with chat as we speak. Fingers crossed they'll sort it
my request is as follows (for anyone else having the same issue)
"Can you please white list my IP address for the mod_security on the GoDaddy hosting service
The standard mod_sec rules are too restrictive and trigger a denial-of-service block on any Publisher submissions (within Adobe Lightroom)
Changing mod_security / whitelisting my IP should revolve the issues with any domain / add on domains I have
thus allowing 4x.25x.20x.1xx (my current IP address) that is accessing a script repeatedly over a short period of time during publishing of a photo album to NOT be blocked."
I managed to correct the photo order. Once everything had published i just shuffled the oreder of one photo (then moved it back again) and re-published it everything was good.
Done some reading from your links and it turns out it is a problem with GoDaddy, however fingers crossed they will "white list my IP address for the mod_security on my host" as suggested!
Regarding the page numbers / arrows ... here is a personal album...
the url had picked up the closing of brackets - amended, but thanks for the info re: Ben.
PS. Any ideas on how to change the size and colours of navigation arrows (and numbers) when you have multiple pages in an album?
Is anyone else receiving this error when uploading (publishing) albums from Lightroom? (see image at www.kim-online.co.uk/lrerror.jpg)
Any ideas on how to prevent the issue as I am only able to upload approx 20 images at a time before this happens?
I lose the ability to upload / view any of my domains / addon domains for approx 2-3 minutes, then all is fine again, however for an album with say 100 photos in it I am having to re-initiate the publishing process 4-5 times.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Kim.
