Thanks for all your help, Rod, but I'm moving on to something else.
I'm chalking this one up to an expensive and very time consuming lesson.
Yeah, I know, it's been covered to death but I can't find the solution for my particular problem.
I have spent (wasted) hours trying to get publisher set up, reading all the tutorials and watching videos.
Gallery template is uploaded where it should be, Publisher in LR is set-up following the documentation, but when I try to publish, all I get is a pop up that says:
Can't Update This Collection
Unable to perform action: createAlbum
Message: unable to find the directory ./ ../ ../galleries
please create this directory and set permissions to 777.
Yeah, tried that many times to no avail. When I look at my files on my server, the directory is clearly there.
Stumped.
OK, feeling really stupid right now, but I can't figure out how to rename my link images. Each one just says album title, and I can't find where I need to change them, i.e., Architecture, Portraiture, etc.
Also looked in the folders after I exported a test, but no go.
And yes, I do have Auto Index.
Aha, thanks, Rod.
Pardon me if this is a stupid question, but what I want to do is to be able to click on an image on a page and have that linked to another gallery. Here's a test I've done of my main gallery page:
http://www.playoflightimages.com/NewGalleryTest/
What I would like to do is set it up that when you click on 'Weddings', it takes to to the wedding gallery and not just open that single image.
Thanks!
Yep, try this:
15 is a download package I want to set up for clients, along with a multitude of others like that.
Sure, have at it!
Thanks, Rod, but that's exactly how I'm doing it.
Sorry to bug you about this, but I've spent hours going through the documentation and forums trying to find out how to get packages to work. I'm trying to have specific galleries point to an individual package price, but can't get it to work. I've set up the package profile name to point to my package settings in the cart settings, but it won't work.
I can't waste any more time on trying to figure it out, so thanks for the help!
Thanks a bunch, Ben and Rod. It shows up now!
Thanks, Ben!
Would love try it out. Sent you a PM with my email.
Well, that's what I was fearing.
Sounds like a possible feature request?
Starting to feel like I wasted my money...
Trying to set my cart up with two different scenarios.
First one is to have a customer click on an image, then select what size image then add to cart. This is easy- just select 'default' in the Uniform Pricing Profile Name. Works perfectly.
The other (I work with lots of realtors, architects, builders etc.) is to have them be able to click on 'Purchase Images', then have it go to the cart with a preselected package that I setup. This has been the big hurdle.
The problem I have is trying to figure out how to do this (and trust me- I've poured through the documents).
Trying to add an item under the Packages page only allows for Photographic Prints and not Digital Downloads.
Feeling extremely confused, and I'm pretty damn tech savvy!
That did it! Thanks again, Rod.
Thanks, Rod! I'll get right on it.
Hey! New user here and everything is going pretty well (after much trial and error).
When I test the gallery to see if items are being added to the cart, I notice that after I delete the item, the 'Back to the Gallery' button does nothing.
Can't find where I would need to edit a setting for this.
Thanks!
Thanks, Rod. Yeah, I also bought Cart, so now it's time to play now that my shoots are over for the week! Good thing it's a rainy day, and supposed to be rainy all weekend.
Hey all!
New to TTG Gallery, and so far I think (hope) it's going to do what I need.
Here's my situation. I'm a full time professional photographer (www.playoflightimages.com), and the vast majority of my work is architectural, in which my bread and butter comes from real estate. Well, RE agents are not the easiest people to deal with, and I waste LOTS of time trying to track down overdue invoices.
What I would like to do is have the images for the agents to view that are watermarked, then once they pay through PayPal, they are sent a link to the images (both hi-res and lo-res) that aren't watermarked that they can use for selling the home and their marketing, and of course, download them to their computer.
A lot of us in the field are looking for a way we can do this, but it seems to be harder to do than I thought.
Thanks!
