Thanks. Here's the direct link to the gallery:
http://pbw.photographybyward.co.uk/galleries/
OK, so what do I enter in the root address box in the gallery?
Hi Rod,
Elite have now set up a couple of sub domains for me. I've moved my new TTG website and gallery into this sub domain:
http://pbw.photographybyward.co.uk/. The site works except for the link to the gallery page.
Not sure if I'm setting up the site toot correctly. I just put a forward slash in the box on both website and the gallery.
I'm sure I'm doing something quite basically wrong, but not sure what...
Still in need of help :-)

Hi Rod,
I'm hosting with Elite UK. I have my own virtual server. I must have misinterpreted the instructions regarding folders. I've now moved the ttg-be folder into the same folder as the website (test-site) and the contact page now appears). I've asked Elite tp create a sub-domain for me for testing websites etc. Hopefully, that might work.
Cheers,
Dayve
Hi, yeah, I'm afraid I'm still having problems with the links between the site and the gallery. I can see that they work individually (apart from the contact page which just says 'ttg-be could not be found'), but the link from the site to the gallery (called client photography) doesn't work properly (it takes you to a page, but not the gallery). I do have everything within a sub domain called test-site as I need to keep my existing site (designed in Dream Weaver). Not sure how to include a screenshot of the folders but, trying to follow the instructions, I have one folder called new-site, which contains the ttg-be files and another called test-site which contains the website (inc the gallery). Don't think it's far off working, but I'm uncertain about what links to fill in in Lightroom...
Thanks for the links. I've made a simple gallery and uploaded it to the galleries folder but my site links are still not all working. The home page works (http://www.photographybyward.co.uk/test … leries.php) but the links don't, including the gallery link (http://www.photographybyward.co.uk/galleries.php). Looks like it's missing off the test-site folder, but I'm not sure why...
OK, found the link to copy the settings to the gallery template!
Yes, thanks, I've looked through that tutorial but it seemed to gloss over things and not really explain what to do :-(
When I clicked on the CE4 gallery, do I have to fill in all the info I completed in the Page section or is there a way to link that?
Here's my site link:
http://www.photographybyward.co.uk/test-site/index.php
Cheers,
Dayve
I forgot to mention that when I upload the website via FTP, the home page works ok but the links don't...
Thanks again Rod,
So I've now got a slide show on the home page and wanted to add a small number of galleries on the gallery page. When I selected the images in the filmstrip for the gallery page, I get all of them with individual albums, rather than having a few albums with several images in each. I assume that's possible, but not sure how...
Cheers,
Dayve
Hi Matthew / Rod,
Thanks for your replies and links. Regarding the pages on my site. I don't actually want to link them to my current site, but replicate them in CE4. It's just that the page titles don't match what I need. For example, I would like the Services page to be my Client Photography page. Do I just enter my preferred label and just use one of the default targets? I don't have so many pages, it's just that the titles are different to the ones supplied in CE4
Oh, and I've managed to switch on the slide show and assign it to the home page but how do I select the images I need for the show?
Thanks,
Dayve
Hi,
I was initially put off CE4 as it was way more complex than the sales text implied. Although I have finally managed to get a website using Pages, I don't understand how to a) get a slideshow on the home page and b) how to set up the other pages. From the documentation I have several pages, including services, info and galleries etc. Although some of these page title are useful, I wanted to use my own (replicating my existing website), but that looks quite complicated.
Also, the PHP Plugin is 'totally recommended' and 'not too difficult to understand', according the the documentation. However, when I followed the link to setting this part up, it tells a different story, including knowledge of PHP script, HTML and CSS, familiarity using an FTP client and text-editor to access and manipulate files on a web-server. So, you can understand why I'm confused and out of my depth.
Thanks for that Rod,
Having a failure when I test the authentication check button in the publisher settings at the moment. I'm sure I have the right API (http://photographybyward.co.uk/ttg-be/publisher/), but it keeps failing :-(
I'll have a look at your suggestion above tomorrow too.
Cheers,
Dayve
Hi Rod,
Thanks for that. I can now get into the admin panel. Is it possible to have a temporary website within a folder in my current (non-TTG) website?
Many thanks,
Dayve
I'm hosting with Elite (http://www.elite.net.uk). Not sure if they conform (forgot to ask!). How do I set permissions?
Thanks :-)
Hi, Just purchased the CE4 Web Publishing Bundle and I'm at a loss on how to install! Didn't realise how convoluted the process was. Not sure which order to do things either from the documents. I have an existing website and want to keep that in tacked and install the TTG site in a separate folder if possible. I got as far as uploading the folder ttg-be to a new folder I called 'new-website2015' and followed the instruction to login (http://yoursite.com/ttg-be/admin/) but this is the message I got:
mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied|#0 [internal function]: ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'mkdir() [
Being stuck at the first hurdle is a little off-putting but hopefully someone can help :-)
Cheers,
Dayve
