thanks for the explanation, makes sense now and good to know going forward.

Publisher worked great to "publish" first client gallery with cart enabled and password protected. It was a large gallery of 495 images with a 900 px wide display and sharpen to screen occurring. Patience on my end.

In the past, I've been using Photo Mechanic to generate html web galleries and upload via Transmit (ftp) which is super fast.

good to know, yes high res files are being created. by doing it the export a gallery way, does the "search" feature get lost on searching that gallery? when just updating it appears to be taken care of quickly. any other issues of handling the pre-publisher way?

wondering if there is a quicker way to publish a gallery of images where the images are published on the local computer and then use an ftp program to upload the folder to the remote server. Lightroom is taking a long time to publish.

thanks for the changes to CE4, coming from CE2.
