Ben,

That did it. Thanks to you both.

I do not need HTTS to get to the Admin page. I change both of them to the same letter sequence before trying the connection.

I am having great difficulty having TTG Publisher authenticate the API key. I keep checking the settings on each end, saving each time, and I repeatedly get the message that it failed to authenticate.

I finally got something to work. Your advice was very helpful.

Hi. I have been locked out of Backlight admin because of too many login errors, but have not received the requested reset emails. Any suggestions?

#6 Re: Backlight 3 Support » Can't Authenticate Publisher » 2020-05-05 13:01:13

In spite of what seems to be missing, I was able to publish a simple test album.

#7 Re: Backlight 3 Support » Can't Authenticate Publisher » 2020-05-05 12:36:47

I had made an error that was fixed by making sure that both keys were the same—they weren't.

None of these is in the modules folder on the server.

I remember there were several there before I moved the old version to a folder to hide it. Screenshot of the old version:

I am getting an error trying to authenticate the connection and API key. It shows the path that is in the documentation, but there is no publisher directory on the server.

Also, should I see the modules in the modules folder on the server?

#9 Re: Backlight 3 Support » Can't Login » 2020-05-05 06:08:14

I renamed the directory and hid it away in another folder. After that, I ran the version 3 installer and am into the setup. Thanks for your patience.!

#10 Re: Backlight 3 Support » Can't Login » 2020-05-05 05:31:58

I don't have any galleries or anything else in there, because, though I purchased Backlight and Backlight 2, I never utilized them. I have no hesitation with trying to delete the entire directory and start from scratch. :-)

#12 Re: Backlight 3 Support » Can't Login » 2020-05-05 05:18:13

I tried deleting the Data directory that the instructions described, and there is no Custom directory. When attempting to delete, I got this message:

#13 Re: Backlight 3 Support » Can't Login » 2020-05-05 04:50:17

I followed the instructions on the website. Should I try to delete the entire directory and do a clean install? I did get an error regarding the designer module, but it said the installation was successful.

My host is 1and1 or now Ionos.

It was an upgrade. I really had not used earlier versions, but I decided to really give it a thorough go this time around. is there a way that I can share a directory screenshot of my Transmit window?

I went through the installation process, which completed correctly, but when I clicked on the login button nothing came up on the browser window but "Backlight is not yet configured. Please login to Backlight to continue." When I click on the link, it does the same thing. The URL shows roberts-imaging.com/backlight/backlight.

#17 Re: Backlight Support » CRG » 2016-05-05 03:14:51

Thanks, Matthew. I am not going to take the time to delve into CSS, so maybe it will not be a solution for me. I still can't get CRG to send my client's submissions to me. I have to go to the TTG BE admin folder at my Web provider to look at them.

How is, or will, CRG be integrated into Backlight?

Thanks

#19 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » CRG - not creating email message » 2015-08-27 01:57:59

With some additional work I have been able to send an email to the 1and1 account, and have have been able to log in there and send an email directly to my main email account.

#20 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » CRG - not creating email message » 2015-08-14 07:50:06

I finally got to TTG-BE admin on my own, and I think I got it set up correctly with the steps for 1and1, but i am not succeeding in setting up an IMAP connection with my Apple Mail.

still no luck with receiving emails from clients.

I can't seem to get CRG 3 to work now in Lightroom, either, so I am stuck with clients having to "hand-make" their lists.

#21 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » CRG - not creating email message » 2015-08-14 04:23:39

I can't locate where I enter my email address in CRG. I am lost.

Hi,

I tried to use CRG 4 with a client recently, and, in spite of the fact that they sent their selections to me twice, I never received the emails. They, however, did get a copy of the message sent to them.

I have made selections from the same gallery, and from a couple of test galleries, and the the form sent the emails to me almost immediately.

Is it a problem with the system, or might it be something with my email server?

Thank you very much for your help. That worked very well.

Hi,

I have been working on a CRG gallery with a two-column layout, and the thumbnails, which I would like to, and assume would, begin following the masthead, do not start until after the the Legend text appears in the left-hand column. How do I move the thumbnails up the page so there is not so much empty space.

#25 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » CRG3 -> CRG4 » 2015-03-03 10:31:36

I do not have an overall site. I just post individual directories, no do I know how to enable guest access.
