I had the same problem and had to go to my host site and found the PHP setting under CGI and somehow found it and changed it to 128M and then retried the update and it updated perfectly.
Question !! Should I go back and change the PHP memory back to 64M or leave it as is ?

I tried to create a new album of my laptop in Italy and am getting the following message;
check authorization, unable to perform action check authorization, this page sent an action that was not available.
checked My backlight modules and it is all up to date ,
I can access my website ok.
I installed the latest publisher plugin.
any suggestions, appreciated

I think I got it figured out. I used the {CellNumber} token and republished and now have cell numbers showing under images

Is there someplace where I can adjust the right arrow (next) button timeout when viewing photos in the album?
The button times out after one or two seconds when you have the cursor over the next button and forces you to restart the album again unless you click fast and stay focused on the cursor location over the right arrow. Just a little thing but it takes away from viewing the photos in the album unless you use the slide show or the thumbnails feature.

These are the two maverick images. They refuse to go to landscape aspect when published. I even tried changing to Classic album template. Same thing.

I am using masonry format for my album template. I publish from lightroom. I have two images that are landscape oriented before publishing. After publishing on the website they are always are oriented in portrait. I have cleared cache in backlight and google many times. Deleted album and republished. Really weird. Any suggestions ?

Is it normal that when I visit my site/backlight and enter the site from there the hidden home page gallery shows with crossed out eye; but when I enter my site directly it eventually disappears ? just a cache clearing issue?

ok, thanks. I finally got it to work. Seems like it took several minutes for the home page album not to show after setting hide and search, but finally disappeared from galleries.

Decided to do a clean install rather than trying to preserve my current site. Clean install went very smoothly. I like the new interface.

I had a full backup of my site and I just restored back to my Backlight 1 version and everything is back to pre-Backlight Install normal. Not sure what I did wrong but it did not work and I tried several time to do the install. Unless there is something I obviously did wrong, I think I will wait for all the "new dust" to settle. I have been following the comments here and it seems like there is a lot of repetition as to the install problems. I am in no rush. Thanks again for the quick reply.

I uploaded both those files into the backlight folder and into the Public-html folder as well.
