I am getting this message on my homepage as well as when I try to get into the back end:

Something went wrong

I am creating a site for someone else and for some reason, when I try to change the background color, nothing happens. It works fine for my own site. The problem site is www.inspirationsartists.com
The background currently shows as red, even though I have it set to white. I have cleared the template cache.

I republished and the problem persists.

On my large image presentation, the filename under the image has .jpg still attached. In the Design Template of Backlight, under Image Metadata>Photo Caption, I have {Filename}. I thought this was supposed to leave off the file extension. What am I missing?

I created an album in Lightroom in which I have specified in the the Features section of the album settings: Hide from Album Set.

These images are for the Vegas slideshow on my homepage. But they show up as an album on my galleries page: http://www.martyhulsebos.com/galleries/

I have noticed that inexplicably, they sometimes don't show up, however.

I want that album to be hidden. Am I doing something wrong?

#10 Re: Backlight Support » Write in Purchase Buttons » 2017-02-03 11:39:12

The icon I want to change (add text next to) is the large image cart button. I tried using the css you offered:
.fa-shopping-cart::before {
    content: "\f07a Add to Cart";
}

...and yes that is not ready for prime time. I tried to add some CSS styling, but not being proficient enough with CSS, I didn't get very far. Any tips on making the red box wider so the text falls entirely into it? See the page: http://www.martyhulsebos.com/galleries/ … single.php

My marketing consultant is harping on me to make it overwhelming simple to people how to make a purchase. A shopping cart icon to someone who is web illiterate may not be obvious. I do have customers like this and I want to be considerate of this.

I want the text to say "Purchasing Options". It's really not a shopping cart since they haven't made their selections yet. They just need to get to the place where they can select size, presentation, etc.

Yes I do want to replace the cart icon with text. CE4 let me do it.

#12 Re: Backlight Support » Write in Purchase Buttons » 2017-02-03 07:49:50

Thanks for your tips Rod and Charlie. I made the background red with white text and it is much more visible. As to having write-in text, I was able to do it with CE4. Was this option removed in Backlight?

Check out the large picture page and see how the cart icon at the upper right is dwarfed by the picture:
http://www.martyhulsebos.com/galleries/color/aspens/
I want it to be clear to potential customers that this picture is for sale, and here is the link to how to purchase it. To me, my website needs to be more about selling than just showing.

#16 Re: Backlight Support » Write in Purchase Buttons » 2017-02-02 00:52:20

Each button needs to go to the cart, just as the current cart icon does. Does that mean it is unique? I just want the button to say "Purchasing Options" and have a larger cart icon, which currently is miniscule. The current small icon is above the large image. Can the new button be there also. If not, can that tiny icon be changed?

#17 Re: Backlight Support » Write in Purchase Buttons » 2017-02-01 22:57:49

If I want to have it appear only in the large image view, where do I place it. I tried it in the Album Settings Main Copy section, and it put the button on the thumbnails page only.

I read the instructions for creating Write-in Purchase Buttons here:
http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … se_buttons

But it's not clear where I place it. I seriously wish the docs were written from the viewpoint that the reader doesn't know much about the subject. Can anyone help.

#19 Re: Backlight Support » Problem with Inline Vegas Slideshow » 2017-01-26 05:09:38

I am using Safari. I just saw it was working on Firefox. I just cleared Template cache and it is now working on Safari. I'm happy. Thanks Rod.

As images progress through the slideshow, those that are larger partly remain if a smaller one follows it. What remains is the sides of the larger image. Here is a dropbox link to a screenshot. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8wojz9mja1tzh … t.png?dl=0

I am just now upgrading to Backlight, so my website is not yet live. Here is the link, however: http://www.martyhulsebos.com/backlight-temp.

The slideshow is on the homepage. To see the problem, you'd have to let it go through several photos. That's when the larger photos are followed by smaller ones.

I didn't notice the index.php file in the zip. I just uploaded it and it now works as I expect. Thanks Rod!!!

I am transitioning from my CE4 site to Backlight. I purchased Backlight and Pages and installed everything. I created a subfolder in my current website (/backlight-temp) so I could keep my CE4 site going while I designed and tested my Backlight site. I created an album in LR, and the resulting galleries folder shows up in the /backlight-temp folder. I tried to modify the default home page (including specifying that it is to be an index page), and no index page shows up in my /backlight-temp folder. Shouldn't it? If not, then where? I'd like to have the page loaded in one window as I design in another window. But I need to know where that index page is located. Please help.

#23 Re: CE4 Pages » CE4 Contact Page not sending message » 2016-08-25 06:13:07

It's not working again on martyhulsebos.com. It is working on natureimagesforhealthcare.com. Nothing was changed. I just tested it for the first time after it got fixed weeks ago.
Help, I need for my customer to be able to reliably get ahold of me.

#24 Re: CE4 Pages » CE4 Contact Page not sending message » 2016-08-04 21:21:10

Thanks. Now works if I change Vendor Email to myname@natureimagesforhealthcare.com but I have to keep Site Email as my regular email. Otherwise it didn't work. (BTW, I do have myname@natureimagesforhealthcare.com forwarded to my regular email address).

#25 Re: CE4 Pages » CE4 Contact Page not sending message » 2016-08-04 20:53:03

So in TTG-BE, should I use myname@natureimagesforhealthcare.com for both the Site Email and Vendor Email? Or can I use it for just one of them? (which one?)...the other one being my gmail address.
