Wau - I must say that Backlight is SO much easier to work with.
Spend around half a day to redesign my site in Backlight compared to say 2 weeks in CE4.
Will need to revisit frontpage as soon as Stage is release - until then it will be a static photo.
Now I just need to reorganize and publish album as soon as time allows
Got it working now, thanks.
Issue was that only the privat directory was created but now backlight core files were uploaded for some reason.
I simply deleted and recreated it
I went for clean design with white background.
The X mark to close the navigation tray is however always white so placing it on a white background makes it disappear
Wow - backlight is SO much easier to work with
Almost ready with updated site but need advise re. Two top level galleries.
I have two publisher instances created for galleries and private (the later is for storing my private stuff like travel/family photos) and I'd like to access is by simply adding a "/private" to the url of my site.
What is the best way to do this and stil have a nice album set displayed as I right now just get an index of the directory
Not a stupid question.
I just realised that I kept changing the album within the albeit set rather than the album set itself!
So issue is that setting the cover image in Album SET to random does not select random image at all - confident that will be fixed in upcoming release
Does not solve issue
Have tried to change coverimage from random to specific image and have republished but still no joy
Almost done migrating to Backlight and I have an issue that my galleries only show names of galleries where I'd like it to show images.
My menu navigation is set to AlbumSet -> Galleries -> 2 levels
My testsite is: http://backlight.bluehourphotography.net/galleries/
Any clues on where I go wrong?
Go that
Is it possible to display a map of ALL images and then drill down? (Kind of search if you would like)
Is it possible to generate a map of places where pictures has been taken based on GPS meta data info?
Rod,
thanks got it now.
Had a very old version of the publisher plugin
Rod,
I assume you are referring to "Appearance -> Client Response Setup -> Feedback Model Setup -> Enable Feedback Features"
which is enabled - i can however not find this in the template file?
Just setting up CRG but for some reason my generated albums seems to be plain galleries and not CRG ones.
http://www.bluehourphotography.net/gall … ate/test2/
I have exported template from LR using CRG
uploaded to ttg-be/template folder
changes settings in ttg-be admin to use generated and uploaded template
i'm generating from LR using publisher and have selected my CRG template
Prev preview in LR is fine but when generated am I missing all the CRG functions - any clues where to look???
Finally found time to move this into production
http://www.bluehourphotography.net
More galleries will follow when time allows
a HUGE and sincere thanks - all working as expected now
Still struggling with font and getting lost
Have added 'Anivers SC' to my typekit and loaded that in phplugins, have changed ALL css selectors to
font-family: 'Anivers SC';
Result is that I simply cannot have navigation to use my fonts for some reasons (and form is broken to):
http://ce4.bluehourphotography.net/contact.php
Appreciate ANY assistance here as this is the last outstanding before going live...
Rod and Kyle.
Thanks to you both for sharing info. I'm sure if will help me finalize the site.
a bit strange though as i have no reference to anivers-sc in my code
it does however work for my footer and this page
http://ce4.bluehourphotography.net/contact.php
Any clues why navigation is different?
Test site at: ce4.bluehourphotography.net
I cannot get navigation to use the font i want.
I have choosen:
["navigation_items.font_family"] = "'Franklin Gothic Medium', 'Arial Narrow Bold', Arial, sans-serif",
My entire page display Franklin Gothic besides navigation that displays Arial
How can i fix this? (i assume worst case i can edit the custom.css but which control to use to override this?)
thanks for clarifying will look at my settings again
I really miss an option to make the page body background transparent.
This was possible in CE3 and I'm using a raster background but en CE4 this raster is overruled by the page body background.
Is there any chance to get a transparency slide into next version?
Rod,
thanks for your support. I ended up buying Stage to get better control of the gallery. Looks much better this way
ok, got it working by manually adding a pages-gallery folder like in this thread
http://community.theturninggate.net/top … publisher/
I can see that highslide takes control of my entire page where i was hoping to have it just in the grid thus keeping my layout visible.
Is this possible or will i need stage for that?
Rod, I'm lost here.
New template without spaces and with / as site root is here and working nicely:
http://ce4.bluehourphotography.net/ttg- … e_Gallery/
Have created new entry in LR's publisher module (w. slug = pages-gallery) for a new frontage, but as soon as I press publish i get this error:
An internal error has occurred: JSON.lua:458: JSON.lua:197: can't parse JSON at char 1 of: file_put_contents(./../../galleries/pages-gallery/gallery.xml): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
When accessing my site now I'm getting an error:
The template ttg-be/templates/gallery/ could not be found. Create this template with CE4 Gallery then upload it to your server.
