Wordpress

HI,
call me stupid, but I just not find out how it works...

I made a fresh WP-installation, and now have installed backlight.
(So far I always used Backlight as stand-alone).

How I can I add galleries, published with the publisher-plugin with LR to my side?
Thanks Wouter

Re: Wordpress

Where is WP installed?
If it’s a normal WP installation in the root of the site, just install Backlight in the root as well

Re: Wordpress

WP is installed in the root, Backlight as well.
(Both are functioning).

I just not understand how to add/include a gallery to my WP-side...
As page or as ...?

Re: Wordpress

you can't add Backlight galleries to WordPress created pages.

When you installed Backlight, you should have also included the /galleries folder. It will be at the same server level as Backlight. Publish your albums to that folder from within Lightroom.

Otherwise, to create galleries within WordPress, you need to create a post or a page, click Insert Media, and upload the images.
Matt's got more on that here: http://theturninggate.net/2017/11/29/ne … s-updates/
and here in the docs: http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … _shortcode
but these galleries are not controlled by Lightroom.

Or use one of the third-party WordPress gallery plugins.

Are you using the Backlight WordPress add-on? If so, use the same page template for the WordPress theme as you do for your albums. Be sure to include a Galleries menu item so that viewers can find your albums.

If not, you'll need to create a menu item that links to your main galleries page.

(Also, since you're using Backlight just for the albums, don't install the index.php and .htaccess files found in the root of the downloaded and unzipped file. They'll overwrite the necessary WordPress files)
